Clair que je veux aller prendre une bière et aller au prochain ETS. Je devrais être à Montréal en fin de semaine prochaine pour cet événement: http://2012.if3.ca/
just kidding, I have teamfortress.tv on my TV in my living room: http://i.imgur.com/o2chU.jpg
Go America go! I believe!
*Edit: stream, not steam, dammit I can't edit titles.
I got asked by Brad how I fixed my registration issues I had. I replied on Steam but he's AFK now, I'm posting here to make sure he views it: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=20917693&postcount=5
Steam has 3 places where it can load the config files and create conflicts with the configuration of TF2 which apparently can cause issues with registration.
*Edit: Make sure you delete the autoexec file in the cloud cache and cloud, this filw can be the on that cause issues. Once you did reset all the fils you can put the config.cfg file back in. Make sure all the settings are right. If you reinstall a FPS config do it from a freah file from thw config website.
*Edit 2, delete all the HUD files and reinstall them.
I will do it, I had the intention for a while now, I was just too busy this summer. I am not sure I will be able to use your servers right away when I will launch the channel since my setup needs servers with a CRON job installed but I will let you be the official sponsor for a steal until I change my log/STV transfer over SFTP.
What is that kind of attitude hooky? #tf2.pug is designed to help out the lower level player, it was designed to guarantee a player to play a game in a predictable amount of time. For the players who are seeking a more challenging / competitive experience they can play in #tf2.pug.na or wait for the captain PUG to start in #tf2.pug. I think Saltysally is making a valid point, this guy want to gain experience on a class but the actual system won't let him have some playtime on it. How is that even good for a beginner channel?
One major point people are missing is, I made this prototype to prove that the basic of the concept works and is liked. The grand scheme was to actually build around the new concept and bring many improvements on it. Now... what they are choosing is to rewrite the exact same basic features in the other bot I don't wanna work with. They are already behind what I have already done and I don't expect them to be the one bringing the new features on the new system. A full year and half ago I told them about this whole idea and I explained them that it's where the channel should heads towards to. I was expecting that by then, they would have completed this thing. No, they didn't, they chose to write an almost identical bot to mine in a different programming language. When I realized that the project wasn't even close to being finished (wasn't even started) I took some of my free time during a month and I did it. Now they are seeing that this thing has potential and they want to repeat the same old dumb story again... How am I supposed to view these guys now?
No wonder I no longer want to work with them, I tried hard enough already.
I fixed the issue on my bot, not theirs, and they aren't running mine.
capnfapnhow bad should somebody have to be at medic to get banned from it for a week in pug.na?
First of all, a ban should only happen after a non conclusive discussion with the offender. I found out that most of the time I always got better results explaining my point of view to somebody than waving the banhammer at him. During the year and half I ran the channel as the main admin who was reviewing most of the complex cases, overall I banned less than 10 users and I am confident about that number being realistic (please correct me if I'm wrong about that number). I would probably restrict you if you were very bad and you would not understand that you should not add as medic. Restricting still does the job and let you hang out in the channel. I would say that for a week long ban it would have to be an intentional behavior and more than just a single offense, something like coming back under an alias or anything like that and straight up disrupting PUGs. A week long ban is a lot.
thorn_This isn't really a question, and IDK if you even know me that well, but I just thought I'd say that I really enjoy pugging with you, whether it's the old MGE pugs every night, pug.na, or the invite pugs. You're definitely one of the nicest guys in tf2 and also an overall very cool guy. Just thought I'd say this.
Thanks man, that's great to hear. I work on being as chill as I can when I PUG while being helpful with calls and other stuff. The chill part is a little bit hard for me since I have French blood in my veins and it's part of my culture to be more rude/arrogant than let's say Americans.
Rapa2cinq, have you been thinking about bringing back the auth system in whatever pug system you make so the quality will be much better?
Yes indeed, I loved that feature. I also liked the medic ratio. I wanna bring more features than just the 2 wave PUG system, this thing has a lot of latitude that would let me code stuff around it. The thing is though, I won't code it if they chose pingu's bot and this is the main argument I have with them.

smaka would be my least favorite. he has made fun of me quite often in the past, he's condescending to so many people, he sounds mean/mad most of the time, he's racist, sexist, elitist, etc... He personally engaged a quite exhaustive discussion with me asking me to ban weeble since he was quite convinced he was hacking. I don't mean to say I banned weeble solely on smaka's words but it was greatly influenced. I always felt he was trying the least when he was on the weaker team in PUGs, he would also subtlety let me feel I was a failure for picking these teams instead of taking it cool. He's making fun of how I speak and how many mistakes I make when I write/speak... the list goes on.
kayp would be my favorite, he's always been 5 times more talented than me while playing on a very old AMD CPU that gaved him around 20-30 fpses in midfights. We get along very well, we always have a good laugh when we play together and all. We share many passions together and have a culture that is similar. It was a hard choice since there's a lot of people I really enjoy playing with but I guess I had to pick just one.
snacksawesome answer, you're a great guy cinq
not as great as you though http://i.imgur.com/eXlci.gif
I'm serious, you are an great scout and seemed like a nice guy for the few minutes I met you, too bad you had to leave early.

why are you so goddamn nice? when not a single person would aid me in getting better when i was pugging in pug.na when i first started playing tf2, you and luc were always extremely nice to me and helped me by giving me advice and such, why are you so nice? Is this a side effect of being an invite medic? If so why is harbleu a faggot?
It really depends of my mood and who I am dealing with. If you are giving me any sort of troubles and I know you have been a dick in the past to somebody else I will give you some shit.
