I'm confused, some of you say aim slightly above the head, then eulogy say shoot the chins.

Try using a higher interp. I'd say minimum .033, all the way up to .1
play around between that range and see if hit reg is any different.
Assuming you use the steam mover tool correctly and the game and all its registry stuff is properly configured, are there no performance issues or bugs when using an external storage device to run games?
25 I feel sooo old. Not from the ages in here just in general...I feel old. :(
WaldoWhen that happened to me, it turned out that I had messed something up in vegas. Are you sure it's rendering properly? Try watching the raw .avi and making sure it's working before encoding.
This.
I never used Sony Vegas that much, but when I did, I had all sorts of problems with the exporting formats. I eventually stopped using it and used finalcut pro (don't laugh at me please.) You need a clean, uncompressed avi for h264 to do its thing.
if you have an fps config, go to your autoexec, search for the command "mat_antialias 0" and remove that command completely. That might allow you to have the mumble overlay enabled without causing tf2 startup problems.
kuzaThere is no reason to cap your fps, your monitor is just going to grab the next available frame, it's not going to stack them up in a queue. The only reason to cap is if you're having heat issues.
I play on a laptop, so the heat thing is indeed important. But I also have this thing in the back of my mind that tells me I'll consistently get closer to 120 fps if my processor isn't trying to render an unnecessary of frames. Which I guess is the same thing as the laptop getting hot.
PacifistcrespiDerpusumm, as high as possible?
^ this. But with a 60hz monitor, the ideal situation is that you never are below ~120 fps. I'd say that 60fps (60hz-60fps) would be the minimum you'd ever want to be at. I use a 60hz, but I can 100% tell the difference when my frames drop below 100.
Thank you.
Now time to lower my graphics settings
Capping your frame rate is a good thing to do, as it's better to have consistent fps than to have a bouncing one. I use an fps cap, but I don't use the fps_max command built into the tf2 engine. This is because it is known to cause stuttering and other weird things. I use MSI afterburners fps limiter. It works great.

ShakeNovaOkay thx :)
And the FPS configs within the Chris' config i also put them in cfg folder right ?
You could put the autoexec.cfg in your root tf/cfg folder, but you could also put it in tf/custom/my_custom_stuff/cfg
narfI wish the mobile twitch apps supported basic functions like search and being able to see all the streams you follow.
You can see all the channels you're following now! A huge step forward.
Finally, you can login to your twitch account on the Android app. This is big news for us Android users.
Fuck.
All that shit I wrote in reply to his previous thread...my mx-blues will never get those used keystrokes back. :(
have I been trolled? :/
kiriBrinkChances are you accidentally downgraded if you didn't compare the specs of your old computer vs your new one - the old one probably is probably significantly better when comparing the GPU, CPU, etc. I find that would probably be the most significant factor, because it doesn't seem to me like the difference between Windows and OSX would be THAT big.in my experience the difference between windows and osx on the same computer (early 2012 17" macbook pro, 2.4ghz, 4gb ram, AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1024mb) is an additional 20~ avg fps and much faster loading times on windows. it's enough to make me only play it on windows (also i don't feel like downloading steampipe twice) but not sure it would be worth spending the £70 or so on a copy of windows just for that.
maybe the fps increase is more pronounced if you use a config or something, idk. i've never tried that.
Whoa hey now, I never said anything about paying for windows. But i'm not saying anything about pirating. I'll just say that getting a copy of windows isn't that hard.
For myself, and almost a dozen other people I've converted into bootcamp users, the fps increase is usually double or more. This includes tweaking the windows system for performance, and yes using configs and various settings.
