In my experience lawena will not record to any directory except tf for some people. I don't know why this happens but I suspect it's something to do with windows file permissions or something. Regardless, it shouldn't be an issue if you're using AVIRecorder.
to reinforce my belief most tf2 players are morons
You can work around this by disabling ropes but I can't remember what the command is (type find ropes in console to find it)
is this because we havent unbanned the quick fix yet
It's possible it doesn't have permissions to read the codec file. Have you tried launching vegas as admin?
Also check the file its trying to read (assuming it shows the full path) actually exists.
You may need to specifically enable the lagarith codec in the codec pack. Can you screenshot the error and show it here?
Thanks for the submissions so far. Just for some clarification, I intend to use the demos from this thread for both my practice edit and for Environments 2, so if your stuff does not make it into the first (short) video please don't worry!
Seinfeldare you making a style edit or a fragshow?
This will be a stylistic edit, similar to my previous video but without the custom maps.
Hi, its been a while since I did one of these. for my next edit i'm looking for some specific clips I have some ideas for so if anyone has any they'd be willing to give me I'd appreciate it. :D
Any clips are welcome but I'm also looking for some specific stuff if anyone has it (6v6 only please):
Soldier badlands spire airshot (single or double but nothing more, needs to be on screen when it hits)
Any spy backstabs but preferably medic drops where the spy does not immediately die afterwards.
Fat single sticky/rocket kritzes
Fast scout clips (3+ frags in <10 seconds)
One of those cool 2 in 1 shotgun/scattergun things.
Any offclass clips
Soldier shotgun clips
Market gardens
I don't mind how the file is formatted as long as you include the tick. STVs always preferred over POVs. Thanks!
This is mostly to do with TFTV being full of children. Attempting to address problems with attitude within the community doesn't work and this has been proven multiple times.
The community is full of great people, the vast majority of whom do not post on TFTV for these reasons.
Looks cool man. I'm not sure if you're looking for feedback on this but in case you are here's a few thoughts:
- The title graphic is cool imo, fits the theme and looks nice.
- The sfm at the start is nice looking
- The colour grading is a bit strange - I get what you were going for with the retro 80s theme but its very difficult to pull off with the way tf2 looks.
- The amount of hard cuts between very short cines and totally different clips made the flow feel kinda inconsistent at times. This is just my opinion but i prefer to establish scenes with a cinematic before transitioning to POV footage so the viewer gets an idea of what they're about to see. You obviously don't strictly have to do this but it's just an idea for some places.
- Despite the above I liked the way the eyelander clip was edited
- The colour split effect you were using is a little bit overused and not always used in places where it makes sense to use it.
- There's some bitrate and framerate issues that you may want to look into (for the bitrate consider upscaling the video before uploading to bypass youtube's bitrate limit).
- I like the SFX and music choice :D
Sorry if this is unwanted just wanted to share my thoughts.
