#53 Veganism in The Dumpster
SweetPeadailyBeing a vegetarian is understandable, being vegan is not. It's completely understandable. Most people do it because they are against animal cruelty. Buying milk and dairy products still supports animal farms where animals are often kept in bad conditions. How hard is that to understand?

Fair point. I don't agree that putting yourself into an unhealthy diet is justified for it, but I see where you're coming from. Kind of. Question. If you knew for a fact that a farm treated their livestock nicely, would you buy animal products off of them?

#50 Veganism in The Dumpster

Being a vegetarian is understandable, being vegan is not. People didn't drink and eat animal products because it was cool. How lame do you think the first person to ever drink white cow piss was? No, they did it because they figured out it gave them energy to do stuff. There is a reason veganism has the reputation of making people feel and look unhealthy.

#58 Radical new competitive format proposal in TF2 General Discussion
HereComesTheBoomThis can be tricky, because it depends on other players(the ones you are trading with), if the competitive player has some friend on the inside(of the server), he can be getting unfair deals, maybe give the players fresh accounts also, starting with 1 key or something

oh no. you're right. this real tournament will have to be shutdown.

I feel like Week 4 should be split in two. One half for Saxton Hale mode, and the other for Freak Fortress. This is important.

#24 TF2 Blog: "Item Trading" in TF2 General Discussion
ViperdailyWhile I agree, skins have no apparent value. They are pixels, in no way do they equal real life money as far as the law is concernedthe state of washington begs to differ

Fair enough, good read. I don't honestly think it would hold up in court, but I'm not a lawyer and those people are. So..

Viperh0b5t3rWho cares if other people gamble away millions of dollars, it doesn't hurt you.gambling is illegal and most of the people that use betting sites for tf2 and csgo are under 18

While I agree, skins have no apparent value. They are pixels, in no way do they equal real life money as far as the law is concerned (at least in the US). That being said, this is an overall win, because Valve doesn't have to deal with possible legal issues brought up by a 14 year old kid's parents when he lost his $30 unusual. Not that they have any ground, but it's a waste of time. This also sheds good light on Valve taking this moral stance even though they don't technically have to. They also probably get tons of support tickets saying these sites scammed.

#82 Rip Tagg in Off Topic
GentlemanJondailyI'm not sure what the downfrags are for, to be honest. I agree, there needs to be a change. I just don't agree that bottling up those problems and preventing yourself from having fun with a game you love is better than facing it head on.I'll spell it out for you again as presumably while editing it out you missed the point and maybe you will understand. He is calling them out here and now, it may be delayed but it's done. He also stopped playing the game with them, that was done. He has done what you suggested, but still he is wrong. Your argument is internally inconsistent unless you are suggesting that he has to do these things in a specific time frame decided by you.

If that's the case then I suggest you need to show a bit more understanding of how complicated and difficult these things can be to deal with and respect that not everyone might want to deal with them in the same way, and that blaming the victim for not speaking up more quickly is exacerbating the problem, not offering a solution.

You seem to think I'm saying I blame tagg for all the racist things said to him? Not even close. I feel awful for him, but the truth that things could have been resolved sooner does not change. He doesn't have to do anything. I'm glad he did come out and call people out, but I'm suggesting that he would not have all this pent up anger had he dealt with the situations hes explaining about then and there. I'm not blaming a victim by any stretch of your crazy imagination.
