HarbingerdrakAre you opposed to nicotine? Smoked, it's quite addictive, but in e-cig form (not sure about patches), it's not even close to as addictive, and it's quite the stimulant in low doses. Picks you up when you die from being tired, and you're much more capable the next life.
Did you seriously just suggest that he starts smoking to get better at TF2? Remind me to never ask you for advice on anything ever.
I said no such thing
How quick people are to assume. I'm nevah smokin' that cancah in my life I tell you.
Like I said though, in non-smoke form, it is only mildly addictive and is a potent cognitive enhancer. It is also a stimulant in low doses, and a depressant in high doses.
I know more about this shit than you, and as time progresses, I will know more.
And don't take my advice if you don't want to. I merely suggested to OP several effective things.
Caffeine is bad for you, mainly your heart from overstimulation. L-theanine can counteract these effects, while also acting synergistically to provide increased potency of the caffeine itself, as well as complementing the alertness associated with it.
Modafinil also requires a prescription, and can cause sleep loss --> lack of REM sleep which can --> psychosis, while you're still all alert and in the zone. Used properly, it's probably the best bet you (or anyone) has on the market right now.
*(oh, and there's no reason why nicotine patches wouldn't work...they're even time released)
**OH, and how didn't I think of this? A piece of dark chocolate will go a long way. It has a compound in it called Phenylethylamine, a stimulant that your body metabolizes in 15 minutes. You'll get a boost for sure.
(dark chocolate because higher %)
