It's official, Harb can do everything.
It's going up on YouTube right now - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEJxu4U8Ars might take a bit.
http://www.twitch.tv/extvesports/profile/pastBroadcasts is the spot to find vods immediately after a cast wraps up. I'll try to upload casts to YT immediately after they finish, but sometimes at that point in the night I just need to get off the computer.
Should be a great match and cast! GL HF dont h8
chiveWait a second, didn't extine say in one of his YouTube videos that eXtv wouldn't be covering ESEA anymore?
Yeah, I briefly gave an update about it in a more recent YT Video. ESEA is taking steps in the right direction and the community has chosen to continue supporting it. Our desire to provide for the community has come to outweigh my personal distaste for aspects of ESEA.
Looking forward to a great game.
This is the more complete schedule for the event - http://lanfest.forcerun.com/schedule/ and this is the current rule sheet for TF2 - https://lanfest.intel.com/upload/chapters/3/Sacramento_2013H1/LANFestFall13_TF2_Rules.pdf
I've been told that the rules are still fleXible, but we should get suggestions into them by Friday. I can write an e-mail that will get passed along tonight.
ESEA Whitelist and slight adjustments to the maplist are all that needs to change really. Gpit, Well, Coldfront, and Standin out, Snakewater and what else added in?
TwitchTVJohnGonna be sweet to finally meet you after you blow me off every time you're in SF and deny sleeping in my hotel room during PAX (asshole).
Well I'm definitely coming to this one, and I need a room to crash in :P
Keekerdc is gonna join me but we can work you in too.
yyyyyaaaaaaaaaaooooooooo!!!
I got some great news regarding this LANFest on Friday. Jasbutts suggestion paid off, I got called by one of the LANFest organizers and asked to be one of the 3 broadcast hosts for the official LANFest stream! They're going all out on it, and are as eXcited as I am.
I'll be casting TF2 and CS:GO with one of the other two casters. Am definitely going to check in on their plans for the tournament regarding maps/whitelists/configs. I also clued them in on our plans to host a 2nd tournament Saturday and they can help facilitate streaming of that (unlocking someone's bandwidth or loaning us a rig to stream from that already has that access).
So... Dunno if anyone is already making plans on streaming the 2nd tourney, gimme a holler.
that's definitely hype news about SSBM. Maybe neXt year I'll plan on making EVO. Got tickets to PDXLAN that same weekend, guess I'll just have the EVO Stream going in the background. Maybe I can get them to put it up on a projector somewhere.
Hope you guys have fun, I'm hyped for Ultra.
I've thought a lot about how pick/bans can be implemented and I currently of the opinion that a pick system, backed by a starting ban list, would be the route to go. Total gimmicky/destructive items would just be taken off the board at the start. This would be a list of weapons that are OP things that do not fit in 6s and weapons that we wish we could use but are currently problematic.
Teams would have a smaller number of weapons to pick through and the meta can be protected by limiting how much craziness is brought in.
The picks would also at least show to the other team what items could be run. Marmaduke brings up the conch again, which he doesn't like because its hard to tell when it might be in use. If items are added to the pool, both teams are going to be aware of whats on the table, and can also use later picks to counter the earlier picks.
Here's a very loose eXample - everything on this list could be picked. If not picked, they'd be banned before match time. I don't claim to know how many picks each team should get.
Thread is now connected to the event posting. Looking forward to casting this with Kip. Signups are finished and I've been told brackets are being done shortly.
Wow, great link Jasbutts. I'll fill that shit out right now. Dummy was considering coming even if he couldn't get a seat, as long as he could get in to hang out. I'm not sure how Intel handles that, but if they are cool with me sliding in the door to cast then perhaps he can get in as well.
Haven't asked about getting this off at work, but hopefully shouldn't be a problem.
Was someone already planning on doing a stream? I'd love to hop on board that effort and help out. I imagine I'll have room to bring my rig and could stream myself, but always helpful to have someone else running production. Another tournament Saturday night sounds great as well.
Only 22 seats left, 2 by the eXtv crew. Im in seat 2Q now, we got 4 across so the one thats neXt to cheesemobile or across from 2Q would be good pick ups. A few others nearby.
Hyce get back at me bro, I'll spot you if you can commit to attending.
thats one way to do it. I'd rather have a meatball and a shot of whiskey.
No responses to my post in the LANFest forums... I'm looking for two, one for me and one for dummy.
