JLelongRegardless of the fact that marmite is mostly a retard,
It's cool that 60$ isn't much for you guys, but I couldn't afford it.
I don't work, and my parents wouldn't give me 60$ 3 times a year so I can play
competitive video games...
I guess i'd play UGC if I were american.
mow some grass? shovel some snow? rake some leaves?
I don't know how you can say $60 for 3 months is an expensive hobby. If you go to the movies once a month you'll probably spend that much.
I spend over $1500 a ski season for trips and lift tickets, not to mention the money I put into my gear
i find taking zinc supplements as soon as I THINK I MIGHT have a cold is helpful
once symptoms are already well into effect it does nothing
FzeroanjirocoolMarmieno benefit at allthey provide shit tons of mostly decent servers
they have a good pug system (unused by tf2 players but is nice for cs:go)
they host a fucking LAN
yeah its hard to make a gain if you're not invite level, but the game would probably die without esea
Stop saying that dumb argument that the game will die without ESEA. That is the biggest hyperbole I have ever heard. The game is alive because of the community. The proof is in the fact that we gives tons of money every year to get teams to LAN. The fact that they have a LAN might actually be worse for this game anymore, it's becoming harder and harder every year to fund 4 teams to Dallas.
actually teams are asking for funding to get to (ESEA) lan less because of prize pot increases
the problem arises because we are sending teams to europe as well
I pay more than that in taxes/ss/medic....something every 2 days lol
$60 for 3 months is a bargain of a hobby
elliott_frknif you are trying to say that surfing is never useful in 6v6 then I don't know what to tell youMGE isn't 6s. Surfing isn't always ideal or possible to do in a 6s game. It's also fairly easy to learn to an acceptable level. Doing it makes you have to try less in MGE, and makes the other person have to try harder in MGE. Both of these are dumb because if you actually want to get better, surfing all the time will only teach you bad habits.
if the point of mge is to get better at 6v6 dm then surfing is one of the tools in your arsenal that should be practiced
Yes you don't always want to do it in game (and therefore you shouldnt always do it in mge either). But I actually don't often see people who can surf well (should be close to as powerful as a rocket jump)
Not_MatlockIn all my experience in 6v6, surfing rockets as a pocket Soldier is one of the things I try to avoid the most. The last thing I want is to be thrown away from my Medic, and be unable to advance on the enemy team because I'm too busy trying to apply dumb MGE tactics to a real game.
Besides, the point of MGE isn't to use gay tactics to win, it's to practice aim and movement.
If you do it right you will control where you surf to so that you aren't abandoning your medic and are actually forcing the other team out with your 450hp
but obviously there are times when you absolutely do not want to surf a rocket, nobody is disputing that. and surfing falls under movement
But I now see how it is more powerful in ammomod than other arenas (unlimited ammo lols), so I can understand the complaints
elliott_frknMGE isn't a real game.Not_MatlockRocket surfing is the most annoying thing to fight against.yes, viable tactic that you can use in real games to conserve ammo and take less damage is the same thing as liking dicks in your ass. your logic is impeccable with that one
Oh, hey, I just landed a perfect rocket! All the time spent practicing my aim is finally paying off!
Wait, what's this? He just jumped. Now he's raining free damage on me while I'm completely defenseless.
Well, I guess that will teach me never to land all my shots. No point in actually aiming if I just get punished for it.
When I was a noob I would play against moonchild all the time. Even when I was really shitty I could get a decent number of kills on him if I surfed every rocket he fired. It's stupid how easy rocketsurfing makes MGE. Eventually I learned that surfing rockets is akin to bending over and hanging a sign around your ass that says "Insert various objects here. Penises preferred".

Ma3laafrknsurfing other peoples rockets can be a valuable skill though
Surfing rockets in any arena besides ammomod(mge) is fine, but surfing in ammomod gives you a pretty big advantage and is usually frowned upon. As well as jumping constantly in ammomod, I'd rather play someone surfing than jumping 24/7 honestly but they're both annoying to play against. It's one of the unwritten rules of MGE, yo.
surfing (well) gives you a pretty big advantage in every arena (it works for the same reason counter jumping does - the difference to me being that counter jumping is much less useful in a real game)
I don't play ammomod so it doesn't really matter but I don't see what the big deal is. You can get better at your airshots or just shoot them in the head when they jump so they take fall damage
is this not being casted (NA)

2sy_morphiendatmoWhat's wrong with rocket surfing in ammomod? It's the only fun to be had in that arena.
Because ammomod like every other -mod is intended to be used to get better; jumping and surfing constantly is a great way to maintain twl div 16 ground game, but it'll let you get those precious ELO points against someone looking to actually get better.
or you could just shoot them in the head when they jump l0l
triplemintstreaming locally is probably the best idea (without playing it on twitch.tv)
yup use obs
oh but if you lag when streaming then your next best option (other than lowering seetings to make it less strenuous on your cpu) is to record a demo and record mumble but you will get sync issues
Ggglygyfrknthis is funny because skyrimlord absolutely dunked on me twice one day but i beat beige a couple days later. what the shit
WHAT MAKES PEOPLE REMEMBER SHIT LIKE THIS HOLY FUCK
because i usually get more than 5 kills unless im playing somebody that i recognize to be not shit
