thanks for ideas
temps are fine, around 60° C for CPU and 55° C for GPU
im using one ram stick and swapped slots some time ago, no effect
i've tried launching in safe mode, still the same
i'll try without gpu next thing in the morning
im using igpu for my second vga monitor and while using only my 1060 it feels like it's happening with lower frequency
trippais ur mouse cord in good condition
it persisted over multiple mice and ports, so that's most likely not the issue
CitroMaindprobs a psu issue. get a new one
also my idea but since it's not the cheapest thing and i bought this half a year ago i'd like to be sure, is there a way to test this?
So, occurred about a half year ago but started to be annoying recently that my computer becomes non responsive for couple of seconds, when I'm playing any game the image stays the same and the sound dies, if I'm in windows/watching videos the image is fine but sound dies too.
This has persisted over 2 clean windows installations, happens also with non overclocked CPU/GPU/RAM. From what I've learnt it's not bound to high usage of anything.
Windows 10 on SSD
i5-6600k - 4.4 GHz
1060
8 GB DDR4 2800
Thanks for any suggestions.
shorasSetsulHe used it as a HUD, always displaying the most important information. That totally looks like a desktop thing to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdDeemQ87OE
it is and setsul knows
i've been using it for almost 2 years and i find it useful but i also think it's nonsense unless you're playing medic
there's small amount of people who use it because most people don't see the point in changing something that's working
just quickly reading through comments
no need to play in windowed, nvidia, intel (and amd iirc) utilities have "add custom resolution" option (or you can use cru)
there is slightly higher fps variability but shouldn't matter if you're not playing on a toaster
from ETF2L config: sv_restrict_aspect_ratio_fov 0, no clue about ugc/esea
i guess the black bars matter on small monitors and depends how far from monitor you are
is it happening with other games (csgo)?
check temperatures
make sure there are NO background programs running (antivirus/ntb utilities etc.)
try rolling back/reinstalling drivers (especially graphical)
reinstall windows
monitor gamma/brightness + windows color adjustment should do the magic

right, you're using something else, also changing particles doesn't work on sv_pure 2 (even 1 iirc)
look for .vpk files or particles folder
it removes the dust coming out when you shoot (eg with shotgun) into wall/ground
you most likely have a duplicate somewhere in custom folder
@b4nny, @sideshow, @semiface pls make them to change it to 6v6 and let's have another lan
iirc this was something with new amd drivers, try rolling them back
