Geel9Valve is really making good on their promise of significantly improved communication. Hope this is a trend and not a one-off.
it won't be, every time they fuck up they make a few blog posts about communication then nothing for the next 6 months

premiership inn: me, perry, cloudy, eemes (maybe stinson & wuba), ceejaey and raptor
you in the beta? nothing relevant at all in steam/logs or steam/dumps? try disabling antivirus. nothing happens with any other program? how about other games? how did you reinstall steam? could try running memtest overnight if nothing else.
that's where i'd start
what if i spend half my time and at home and half my time at uni
this is too much responsibility for me
SpaceCadetOpening a crate is not gambling. You pay for a key so you are essentially paying for merchandise. I see a clear difference.
people spend loads trying to unbox a knife. vids on youtube of knife unboxings are pretty much the same as le epic jackpot win!!! vids.
someone on reddit said that they're only sending these notices to companies that affect the US, which is where their current lawsuit is based, so it seems like they're only doing this for lawsuit purposes and that their hand was forced.
edit: smh ninja'd
-5tv-couldn't a website like lounge just cut out the skin betting and keep their site up for trading?
yeah, seems like the grounds they're shutting them down with is the usage of steam accounts for commercial uses. the trading thing doesn't use that but won't rake in nearly as much cash
shouldve just made a 1 sentence meme post smh
inb4 remove from game
idek, the main problem is they're sluggish and annoying to play against and simple/boring to play as. you can fix the second with unlocks but the former involves major reworks/unlocks that drastically change the class (e.g. let heavy move fast, give pyro something that works reasonably at medium ranges).
and that doesn't even cover fixing airblast/flamethrower mechanics
im pretty sure i had the exact same problem (voice sounds quiet/distorted?). I cant remember exactly how i fixed it but it but try messing around with mic settings - set your mic to disable exclusive mode, disable all enhancements and make it your default communications device. then check in game to make sure it uses the same mic.
there's a memory leak in mm (check your console while playing it for the error spam) which causes this atm, just gotta restart if it affects you
can someone explain how the restricting system works
like sometimes a player's restricted cause they're the only medic/pocket/whatever left but can still be overridden, other times not

bear in mind mice can differ from the advertised dpi. use a ruler if you actually care exactly (e.g. mimicking your old sens on a new mouse)
DiplomattTf2 needs overwatch
(the one from csgo)
after seeing their shitty attempt at replicating csgo mm in tf2 i really don't want to see them try to implement overwatch tbh
BBiA_duchessAll valve needs to do is take a lesson from Blizzard. if you cheat, your ip is perma banned for life. You can't get a new account or any of that shit.
blizzard actually does some form of hardware ban too which is very difficult to get around (motherboard/cpu IDs at least i think)
yttriumGemmellnessamds have shitty single-core performance atm and since tf2 is a shitty single core game everything becomes shittyTF2 is NOT a "single core" game but it is heavily reliant on single-threaded performance, yes.
yeah, i was exaggerating. stuff like jigglebones/ropes can be threaded out but still there's a single CPU thread which does most of the work and is the bottleneck 99% of the time
