yeah, i was exaggerating. stuff like jigglebones/ropes can be threaded out but still there's a single CPU thread which does most of the work and is the bottleneck 99% of the time

not sure why draft stats is trailing so much. if someone's played 99 pugs on scout and 1 on demo im not gonna pick them for demo and you cant be expected to reliably know that info yourself for most players

Whether or not ESEA bans this is up to them but it would be a league rule and not an anticheat violation. Keep in mind that they don't ban r_drawviewmodel in the first place.
I definitely found some questionable shit while developing this though that could get me VAC banned. I'll probably email Eric with the exploits in a bit.

not related but i found a clan in a pub, one of which was an obvious projectile hacker but got pocketed by 1 other guy at all times cause they thought he was a god

the301stspartanThe game does internally prevent you from using aimbots. All of the examples you mention are explicitly prevented by sv_pure or vac. Edited viewmodel animations are explicitly allowed in sv_pure. That's why it doesn't have to bypass sv_pure.

not that im arguing that this pack is cheating and unfair, but it's essentially an exploit that abuses the fact that custom anims are allowed on sv_pure 2. im fairly sure valve wouldn't have considered this when allowing that (or forgotten that it could be used in mm). you should judge cheating based on what it grants the user ingame as opposed to what the developer intended, not simply on whether it's possible to use ingame

i only realised today how much it pissed me off to have to sit in a queue to be forced to play some shitty choky goldrush game and then be kicked out after deciding which random team who i didnt care about did better
mousiope- Maps previously using the stopwatch timer will now play to completion, regardless of the first team's time

most often it was a roll, 1 team couldnt push out of first so then everyone sits around for a minute so 1/2 engies can build their shit that can be spammed from spawn before a half that's over in a minute, only for everyone to be kicked out to the main menu. really breaks the flow of pubs.

it's honestly best to just think of every convar as taking a number of strings - the game will convert strings to integers (or reals) whenever necessary.
