I for one am really excited to see how the meta can change with the rock/paper/scissors of uber/kritz/quick fix
I want teams to try the quick fix this offseason and see what kind of new gameplay we can get out of it

esea lan granary demos, season 11 12 & 13
they're all prefixed with 'gran' so i can find them in my tf folder, then they have the name of the team that won the game
Luck can win a team a round on gpit much more easily than it can on a cp or koth map, and matches being best of three only makes it worse.
Gravelpit is an exciting spectator map for the same reason it's not enjoyable to play. Everything you do on defense matters at all times, because there's so much opportunity for gamebreaking plays.
Control point and koth are much more dynamic and forgiving, so you can screw up and still recover to show you're the better team.
practice doesn't make perfect
perfect practice makes perfect
JukspaIf you play soap dm as soldier never get high ground and take the hardest shots possible. If people shoot you from high ground go for directs instead of counter-jumping. A lot of soldiers just counter-jump and sit at high ground, doesn't make any sense to me since you won't get better quickly if you only shoot at the ground in a training mod. Do not play training mods to win them, play them so you'll get better.
This is not the way to play. Taking the hardest shots possible is not how you kill people. If you're going to try to kill someone with height advantage as a soldier, you jump them. I'm not saying to camp the roof in DM, but you should practice things you're actually going to do in a game.
downpour i think you're makin shit up
Overall well made video, the pacing and angles were both well done given you couldn't use smooths. However, the recording quality could be improved (dx8, no frame blending, no noticeable cc).
My personal preference:
- up the in-game sounds on some clips, particularly ones highlighting frags in pov
- use crosshairs
- work on the color correction, you can basically do it all with just color curves and a little bit of saturation and contrast
- since you look like you know what you're doing w/ the graphics, kerning on the outro credits for this and the last video bothered me, too spaced
- as a side note, even for people who don't record with crosshairs, i think the damage indicators in frag videos are very distracting and unnecessary, you can remove those by adding this into HudDamageIndicator in the hudlayout
"minimumwidth" "0"
"maximumwidth" "0"
That way you don't get the big red wedges all over your pretty video and it won't be different between pov's and stv's.
Again, very well done for your second frag movie.
The McLean/Falls Church/Langley area in Fairfax County VA
I know the McLean and Langley school districts (probably some more) fall into the area of TJHSST, which is a magnet school that's been either ranked 1 or 2 for public schools in the country in the past few years. Falls Church has been recognized to have the most educated population in the country, and Fairfax County as a whole is one of the most wealthy counties in the US. Langley is where the CIA is, etc. The only bad part about the DC area as a whole is the traffic.
I'm from McLean, add me if you want to know more.

basically when you install custom huds, if you don't include a file that tf2 needs then it just uses the default version of the file. that way you can have a resource/ui folder with nothing but a custom HudDamageAccount.res
"Resource/UI/HudDamageAccount.res"
{
"CDamageAccountPanel"
{
"fieldName" "CDamageAccountPanel"
"text_x" "0"
"text_y" "0"
"delta_item_end_y" "0"
"PositiveColor" "0 255 0 255"
"NegativeColor" "0 255 0 255"
"delta_lifetime" "2"
"delta_item_font" "HudFontMediumBigBold"
"delta_item_font_big" "HudFontMediumBigBold"
}
}
that should work fine, I haven't tested it though
