When I stream, I have a really unstable ping, often between 70 and 300ms. I use ffsplit, and my settings are:
Video Bit Rate: 768 kbps
Video Encode Preset: Default
Resolution: 576x360
Frame Rate: 30fps
Audio Bit Rate: 128 kbps
Audio Channels: Stereo
I have 12 Mbps download, 1.5 upload. I only have TF2, Mumble, ffsplit, IRC, and Chrome open while streaming. Am I doing something wrong or is it my internet?

I don't think I have much to add, other than that PUGs are not the best way to figure out if a map will work in 6s. They only eliminate the worst maps.

G1One problem that occurred the last time the newbie mixes were running was that open and IM players decided to play in them instead of pug.na and just destroy some of the newer players. If you're not gonna mentor please don't come in to just get easy kills on people learning the game.
I was playing, but I'm smart enough to not play my main. I've actually wanted to get better at demo so I'm playing that. As for soldier... I'm not sure I can play that. :\

eXtv is now splitting each week's eXtravision into two videos. I guess the schedule will be competitive on Saturday, community news/updates on Sunday.

One thing we need to do is move the entire TF2 community (well, competitive at least) to tf.tv. I don't mean just the NA 6s community, I mean Europe, Asia, Australia, and wherever there are leagues. Even HL should move to tf.tv. It has many things we need to grow, like a stream list and articles, and a dedicated admin (enigma) who will add what the community wants. We all just need to accept the fact that NATF2 has served its purpose and we should move on.
side note: tf.tv also has a lot of good suggestions on the crossposted thread btw. And when I say a lot I mean 2 pages, which is a lot compared to the 4 (now 5) posts in this thread.
I don't really like Turbine that much. Although we might be able to get pubbers onto there and then into comp. :)
