#14 TF2Center: thoughts? in TF2 General Discussion
MightyMegfantomLike a badge for playing 100 lobbies, 500 lobbies, etc. and a badge for playing scout for a number of lobbies, demoman for a number of lobbies. This would give others an idea of what your main class is and a rough estimate of your experience with competitive games, etc.
Pretty cool idea
would love to be able to unlock some badges like play 50 lobbies as demoman or 100 as scout, or get an average k/d of over 2.5 etc :)

badges sound like a really dumb idea because they would encourage people playing the same class over and over all the time and getting rewarded for it

a_riveri was really interested in the new asus for 144hz, only cost about $300. but ive been reading it has horrible color so i might just get this benq for 400. whats your input

tn panels are all bound to have terrible colors compared to IPS/VA/PLS

#23 Is this good for TF2? in Hardware
eulogy_JOEThe only thing issue I would see is your HDD. But that wouldnt hurt your performance much if any(I think), I would suggest upgrading to a high speed HDD, but thats just me.

#2 Steam Community in-game not working in Q/A Help
StanleyRecently, my steam in game hasnt been working, or not consistently anyway. It works about 1 in 10 times, but for the most part it just doesnt pop up. I know it is enabled for steam and tf2, and i already tried rebinding it to a different key.
I use windows 8, and these are my launch options: -dxlevel 81 -full -w 1600 -h 900 -console -novid -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemspd

any ideas?

try disabling mumble overlay

edit: that is, if you have it enabled. all my problems with overlays and games crashing came from the mumble overlay in windows 8

#13 Learning Java in Off Topic
Banaynayif you haven't learned a language before i suggest you learn a base first like html.like in my school i took computer science and we learned html and i found it easy to start with, and after that i learned more complex codes like java.

But if you have i suggest learning on what Zigzter said because i learned of him.zigzterhttp://thenewboston.org/list.php?cat=31

Edit: Oh Smurf already linked the YouTube playlist for that.

html isn't a programming language

#15 Best linux distro currently? in Off Topic
w0rduphpqoeuin order, from best to worst

linux from scratch
slackware
crux
gentoo
arch
debian sid
debian wheezy
debian squeeze
ok no

as a linux sysadmin and long time user it depends on how comfortable you are with linux, especially the cli- ubuntu is more user-friendly, while with gentoo/slack you'll be pretty hard pressed to make it easy to use/maintain. i personally use ubuntu simply because it isn't difficult to take care of (i do enough fixing broken shit at work), but i also have experience with free/openbsd, debian, centos, arch, etc

I'm sorry you couldn't tell it was a joke.
