In about 1 hour from now the most important event in the NA comp TF2 community is going down with AG vs HRG... so lets give out some preds or expected MVP's. I'm looking forward to see Boink ridiculous jumps on mid and lansky to land some crazy directs. An upset from AG definitely shouldn't be ruled out.
HERE WE GO
prestigewill i see quick fix?
You shall see it!
Real shame Dummy isn't going, Boomer will have some big shoes to fill. still rooting for tri hards this time around to break the cycle :)
The demo v. demo lineup is very interesting, dummy went huge last night with 400dpm against AG, and b4nny is b4nny, no matter what dis gun b gud.
I remember playing with delpo back when we used to play on Skial 24/7 Hightower all the time. It's amazing how things change...
Justin going with the controversial perma-sniper last two rounds, but his mere presence of sniper managed to deny a few aggressive pushes out of mix^ which was an interesting side effect of his play.
justin won the match point for ft with the snipe on kbk, gg
A place to talk about those big plays coming up soon, in 30min I believe. Definitely not going anywhere just enjoying 420 at home and staying glued to the ESEA Orange stream. So what you guys think about LAN MVP's for HRG vs FT? I'm watching for A Seagull to go huge, a potential upset is not impossible here. HYPE!
MagikarpIt's the 2nd most play gamed on steam usually(2nd to Dota), I think there is still a POSSIBLE chance that Valve can consider respecting the game/format/competitive scene a bit more now at the LEAST. I agree with both downpour and immortal, after so long, it's hard to think they'd care, but this event is probably the most we've ever done as a community and for society. I'm thinking there's a chance.
Exactly, hooky might be right by saying it's "too late" to fully support comp TF2 on the same scale as CS:GO and Dota. The opportunity to acknowledge the 6v6 format and its community is still easily possible. Valve could relay players that are tired of pubs and want more of a challenge straight to teamfortress.tv for example, even that would be a step in the right direction. Supporting the game doesn't necessarily have to be the same thing as supporting the community.
I think the whole event makes a very good impression of the competitive TF2 community. Good enough for Valve to reconsider their lack of concrete support of 6v6 TF2. I mean, could anyone imagine the CS:GO community having the incentive to do an event like this?
While community weapons and an official thank you from Valve would be fantastic, I think the event should be wake-up call for Valve of what this community is capable of.
competent and definitely improving player
Also our team requirement is that you MGE at least 3 hours a day. Thank you........
;)
inb4 ESEA Season 14 LAN champions
Wasn't wonderwall seen trying out for Xen? Maybe a long time vet like him would be a good addition to the roster.
And about Brad's pipes on shade and b4nny..just beautiful. His plays showed his strong grasp of invite level demo that's obvious at this point. And damn, Seagull almost did as much damage as b4nny on gully, one of the most effective and consistent pockets in invite. At LAN the other teams will have a big threat to deal with.
