KevmeisterOk I see. Well what's the difference between fast food and pizza delivery? Or are their wages different?
Generally at fast food places, they don't even give you the option to tip. I also think pizza places are at least one step above fast food establishments?
TwilitlordAlways tip cash if you can tho, even on credit orders, no one ever reports all their cash tips so they aren't deducted from paycheck. Your driver will love you for it; it doesn't seem like much but it adds up (my usual paycheck is like 400 for 2 weeks I think? and my last paycheck was with tips removed and it was only 336, almost entirely credit tips).
Oh yes, this. It also just makes everything so much easier than having to go back through the POS or credit card machine to enter the tip.
hiiAlways thought tips is dumb as fuck, but if i dont give them a tip next time they will poop on my pizza. not cool.
That's not the case where I work. Usually is just amounts to your order not being as prioritized next time, if you or your address is even remembered. Not to mention at a lot of places the person taking your order probably isn't the cook nor the delivery person (though, for smaller/ stores, the person taking your order might very well be either of those, or both, especially later in the night). Probably doesn't make those that don't want to tip, or tip much, want to tip more than they did last time, but oh well.
KevmeisterDo you guys tip at Mc Donalds and BK etc?
No, tipping at a fast food place is almost unheard of. It's expected that one tips at a sit-down restaurant, for delivery, for takeout at a normally sit-down place (albeit less than if you stayed, at least in my experiences), and larger orders at a place where you still go up to the counter, but can do sit-down or takeout (such as where I work, but I wouldn't say we expect tips for eat-in orders, maybe about 30% of people do). This is as far as I know, anyway.
Cold--Hey there. Fellow cast producer here!
TheManWithNoNameis there any chance at moving the medigun's in use + percentage lead in between the two team's player information instead of at the top? makes it easier to read/see imho
Check out the HUD I did for eXtv's cast on this Highlander match. The Medic's über HUD elemeents are in the middle.
Here's a closer screenshot:

When I tuned in two weeks ago and saw that I thought it was super spiffy. The icons are great and having the Übercharge percentages in the middle was a great touch.
GetawhaleAllealI've never really liked the seperate medigun panel. It contains so much redundant information and I don't feel like it's necessary, but maybe that's just me.
I do totally disagree, sorry. It allows the viewer to see which mediguns are in use, and uber advantages. To me that's as important as the play clock and down marker in football, or the shot clock in basketball.
Having the charges in spot really helps, at least in my opinion, because the casters/streamers can't control where the Medic's position is on each team. I remember when I first started watching competitive TF2 that it made it a little harder to follow due to the symmetry of class positions on the SpecHUD only ever being an accident.I also really appreciate when whatever HUD is being used has the server map time limit and the capture point statuses (obviously) visible. Not unwatchable without it, just much better with.
I deliver pizzas for the place I work at and sometimes get asked "how much should I tip, if I'm going to tip?" I should also note that where I work I get paid minimum wage ($9.10/hr), $1.25 per delivery (half the delivery fee), and I do not pool my tips with the tips my coworkers receive in store.
The best way to answer this isn't the most straightforward compared to how you would go about it for a restaurant.
The way I like to think about it is:
Then from there, use your own personal judgment on what is fair (whatever you want to determine to be awful, poor, passable, good, great, above-and-beyond, then assign some value to it) to tip.
PhaserMy roommate in college worked as a delivery driver for Domino's for 3 years. I believe his base wage was barely $2 at the time (late 90's/early 2000). He was told from his boss for every $10 order you should expect a $3 tip from the customer (as long as you are on time and nothing happens to the food).
The surrounding area's from our school he use to deliver to were mostly high class - he almost always got 1 dollar tips from those people, even for $20 + orders. He always said the people that were the best tippers were the more average/middle class people he delivered to.
This is sometimes true; however, the people that will also tip the most are those same people. I think I average around $3-$4 per delivery and we have a $25 order minimum on deliveries, unless the person taking the order asks me if a smaller order is okay, which I'm usually fine with. I had a delivery last Saturday that was 5 pizzas ($78 order) and I was given a $20 bill as a tip. The place was very near our establishment as well as a very large house in a nice area. Earlier that same day I delivered two pizzas, a salad, and some chicken wings to a house in a less nice part of town and the woman that lived there gave me $12. It's almost bizarre how hard it is to pin a type of people to how they'll tip, because many are anomalous.
Been watching it from Kaidus' stream.
Really big shame this wasn't casted, considering I think this is the closest game MiG has had all season, at least on map 1 so far. Here's the Gullywash logs. Lego did the strategy Evokate did last season of Heavy and Sniper to mid for awhile.
Badlands logs.
dubiousi'd jump all over a tf.tv/ozfortress/etf2l branded rocket launcher
That'd actually be really cool if you could get item skins like that. Would just have to make sure they don't clutter too much and/or possibly make it look like something else.
Looking forward to the post-game interview with Natural.
PlatinumeXtineblendtecDo you guys really want to deal with the battalions backup on KOTH? I know that most of you don't remember why it was banned, but it was op as shit and basically forced on viaduct if you wanted to win. Plus it got buffed since then.
Sorry to bring up ESEA transgressions, but I always thought it was a mistake for them to ban that weapon mid-season.
In my opinion the Battalions Backup being whipped out on Koth_Viaduct week was one of the most significant moments of meta innovation we've seen in TF2. A weapon that no one was touching all of a sudden became a must run and not because of balance changes by Valve... However, "No Exceptions" ESEA flipped the script and banned it half way through the map week, even though it was eXtremely doubtful that teams would have been running it on a 5-cp map.
It's a powerful strategy for KOTH, but should an item really be banned because it's very useful on one map?
Are you kidding? It literally rewarded people for being bad and taking damage. It suggested hey... You get hit way too much.. Let's give your whole team a shield because you suck at dodging damage. That's not a strategy that's a handicap assist button
Good thing it builds based on damage done now, same with all the soldier backpacks.
The inherent problem with the Battalion's Backup now is the part where it negates crit damage when its buff is active.
JackyLegsSome EU drama just for our lovely community here:

17:04 - TLR kileR4fuNN' :P: and apparently we suck without him leading us
17:04 - Moon aka. Gubbins: so I get 3 games and I'm out
17:04 - Moon aka. Gubbins: sounds good
17:05 - TLR kileR4fuNN' :P: :/ it's not like you're the problem

Well, they did win with Hys playing, but that really sucks for Gubbins. :\
Every time I've watched Rake's or Kiler's stream, their mumble atmosphere has seemed pretty tense.
I'd like a tryout, if possible. Also, hi asianriceguy and Arry.
This was an amazing series of games.
This is really cool. I'll try to get whoever I end up Ultiduoing with next to play it.
Langea bunch of washed up invite players
I was not aware that washed up meant "in invite on their main in the previous season."
bump for a good scout
