You could put a transparent ("alpha" "110") background on the white (presumably) text, but that's stretching the definition a little.

Not possible. Probably. However, it is possible to make different colors appear on the stop animation.
White: Just spawned! It's fresh!
Green: Wow! There's a Medic! He gave me overheal!
Light Green: Now your health is 125, but it's not fresh health!
Red: Ow! There's a Medic! He gave melee damage!
Light Red: You got 90 health, over 1/2. Now it's not fresh health!
EricDUSKY_You could try finding a symbol font that has a knife and a watch in? That could look pretty cool
I stands for Item; the slot is shared by many other items, including cloak, banners, sandviches, etc., and there is no way for the game to differentiate between them in the HUD except by a labeltext reference in tf_<language>.txt, so I can't use an icon for that meter, which means, for the sake of being consistent, I can't use an icon for any meter.
I forgot about that! But one of my old HUD versions used a font editor to make a great thing happen by hiding letters.
-L--- Cloak
-U-- Buff
----H Mmmph
--LL Ball
---D Food
J-- Jar
That allows you to differentiate 5 of the 6 that can be made as a letter. So the L letter could visually show up as "C", U as a "B", H as "M", D as "F", and j can just be left alone. LL, though...
C----
B---
----H
B---
---D
J--
You could do it this way, and Buff Banner and the Ball would share -- wait a minute! It works!
flatlineLtSteveHave you included the "refund upgrades" button on the shop window ? A lot of custom huds seem to neglect itAs far as I know, that is a game glitch considering that there is no file to edit the shop window as of yet.
Good job on this revamp though :>
No, no, no! My HUD has a slightly customized shop window!
...I mean, no, I couldn't find the file either. I think it's not editable. Yeah. Yeah.
I think it's obvious, but that's probably because of how many times I had to revisit those files.
I = Invis
K = Knife
2 = Diamondback Crits (probably would clip out after #10, but whatever lol)
That's why people are using hudachievementtracker for it, since Minmode freezes like reloadscheme. Plus, net_graph has a delay (doesn't freeze the screen, though), and sometimes when playing Spy and checking scoreboard, it doesn't go away until 4 seconds later.
Tysronetrogminmodenet graph? how does that work
net_graph
achievement tracker
class portrait
can all be used to have different crosshairs
I can't see net_graph helping, unless you are using an Ambassador script that turns on net_graph when the gun is cooling off, and it turns it off when it's ready to headshot again. Which is pretty ridiculous.
I prefer Ruleset 2, even though there is no Ambassador. That's my definition of "Vanilla TF2".
By the way, what is this?
"Soldier can only have 2 banners equiped[sic] at once"
Does this mean that if there are 3 soldiers, they can't go Buff/Backup/Conch?
I also put in a few unnoticable bugs, so I can say I fixed something in the next update.
GrImpartialTheWoundedStaplerHow did I do that Stream? :DAw, I missed it =o, I checked earlier and it wasn't live yet. Hope to catch it next time.
I saw it and joined his games as the Annoying Spy. Also, I know there's a "Past Broadcasts" thing on Twitch, but since I don't use Twitch, I have no idea how this function works. If anyone knew how to enable one for 'past-video watching', it would "add more episodes", so to speak.
Boy, oh, boy, am I happy to say I have an update release.
Then again, my depression has slowly been healing, so that might be causing it.
This version could break low-resolution players, so...
Changes:
- When superhealed, a +++ appears.
- MvM players in tweaked to show the bottom of names.
- Spy building fix and rework. Now more compact.
- MvM is now more round.
- Staples.
Planned: A more descriptive minmode.
I think he was talking about my conversation with Eric.
Sorry for the delay, I was practicing TF2 in tr_walkway_rc2.
Anyway, it's a surprising one. hudtournament.res has what you're looking for.
Heh, doesn't seem like anything MvM'y.
That's sad. I think it would go well with the general public due to the 'rounded' style of the HUD.
I would also recommend that any future HUD developers plan out what style of HUD they are having if they want it for public release. Clean? Minimalistic? Nostalgic? Colorful? Bright? "High-Def"?
In my opinion, knowing the type of HUD you're making will help make things more consistent.
Ericmain_gi-snip-For future reference, my text is not aligned to the west (and I am assuming you mean the ammoinclip label). Everything is center-aligned, and there is 0 clipping in normal gameplay. This may not be true for large ammo counts in MvM, but my HUD does not support MvM and likely never will.
Oh, okay. I only have two screenshots, so I thought it was aligned leftwise because eastwise doesn't make sense. Your HUD looks great, keep it up. Does the AmmoNoClip bubble show as a centered number as well (inconsistently), or consistently?
Sevinmain_giSevinSo I can't change any of the player stats individually? That's ridiculous then my scoreboard is broken.Mine's broken too, even the fonts are screwed up. The image I cited was the one before the Two Cities patch that fixed the custom HUD crash.
Your spacing looks a lot smaller than mine though. That's too bad that it won't work.
The two cities patch specifically changed the wide spacing and the font. The picture is outdated; it was meant to show the creditsubpanel and creditspendpanel.
