#21 If tf2 was going to be comp centric in TF2 General Discussion

Two ways to go about it:

1) Someone mentioned better/easier ways to spectate. Spot on.

2) Someone gives us a lot of money to make a big thing out of it.

IMO, a lot of comp TF2 is fine the way it is; there are maybe two or three major elements missing from making it a huge eSport. A lot of that has already been covered in this thread.

#27 LFT S14 ESEA - O in Recruitment (looking for team)

Myles is a great roamer, does pretty much everything you'd expect, if you let him. Incredibly reliable kills/picks and flank coverage, especially in open. Very rarely did a medic pick or force ever go badly. Very nice guy, GIVE HIM A TRYOUT. Also a jump/surf master.

#27 Ques's Open Power Rankings (week one) in TF2 General Discussion

I will never doubt that an ISP might be a part of the problem until Google Fiber is more widespread.

Also, I just realized, did you write the section for Fashion Police, Ques? That's pretty slick, if you did.

#15 mana roamer/pocket LFT mid-high open season 15 in Recruitment (looking for team)

Thanks for the words so far, guys, I've gotten quite a few exciting tryouts. I'm also happy to say that I'm very sure the roster will likely be inherited and not just die. I'm super glad a team can get open experience (and not waste our team's league fees registering lol).

#106 Greatest Movies Of All Time(Opinion) in Off Topic

It's been mentioned a couple times, but off the top of my head, Donnie Darko, for sure, and Fight Club. Both will are relatively surreal (in their own ways). Man, everyone else has mentioned quite a few good movies, already, won't bother more than that. But those two are definitely somewhere in my top 10 or 15, for sure.

#3 How to dl old ESEA demos in Q/A Help
GeknaiirI'm trying to watch some of the old IM/Invite demos but as said in the title, I can't dl any of them. Is there any way to get them?

Lost with time. I'm slowly in the process of collecting as many Invite demos (both regular and LAN/postseason) as possible.

#2 Looking for an IM Demo in Recruitment (looking for team)

This is the team that has TecHNasTy, Twitch John, zAlfy and Lange on it, alongside Wieks and Kiss me of course.

You should probably try out.

Links to ESEA team profiles, maybe a list of their known roster/starter spots; it's a detail in the wide perspective of things, though.

Guys, the fundraiser is at 4.5k out of the 5k goal.

Holy crap.

#21 alan wake series name your price in Off Topic

So, I know the guy who runs the Humble Bundles (Jeff).

You shouldn't feel bad for paying whatever minimum. That's half of the point. YOU pay how much YOU want. Whether that means being as cheap as possible, whether that means $100 or $5000, any price is a good price. This is okay, because in this day and age, would you have bought Alan Wake for any other reason? More unlikely than it is likely (that's why PWYW works).

PWYW for the Humble Bundles works because it is incredibly cheap to distribute digitally. It cost those guys ~$90 for the very, very first Humble Bundle.

fraacShowmatch?

One team + remote area + no suitable server + already had enough trouble with standard international showmatches = no. We attempted to have aussies play in one of the showmatches but the logistics ultimately KO'd us, this time around.

Showmatches are for hype, not a requirement for running a fundraiser. If the previous two showmatches haven't gotten you hyped for i49 (which is the point of those showmatches, not just HRG/broder/Epsilon), then that's unfortunate.

#9 Demoman LFT in Recruitment (looking for team)
CranCARRYfrom what I remember he's a pretty solid player
anjirocoolhas an ego
Ego means nothing. If he thinks he's good and keeps that mentality, he will do well.

Not to intrude on recruitment threads of people I don't know, but there's a difference between ego (commonly used to mean clashing with the rest of the team) and confidence.
