There's literally GC/GC_DLL code in there, which is accessing a SQL database. This is dangerous stuff.

I'm not sure why it's claimed that it's only client code. The game server, GC, econ code is in there, at least partially.
Even with map changes? What are your launch options, mastercomfig version, mastercomfig preset/addons?
kittyNo, I haven't edited or opened the VPK file. I downloaded the newest release and installed it again just to be sure but the unknown command persists.
What is the encoding on your autoexec.cfg? It is UTF-8 with BOM? That might be the problem. Try using ASCII or UTF-8 without BOM encoding.

It doesn't seem to come from my autoexec either as I have echo statements at the start and at the end of that and the unknown command happens before those. Does this mean something went wrong?
Did you edit or open the VPK? It can cause encoding issues.

I don't really support the package, but I'm not sure what you are seeing that you need to uncomment.
What are your launch options, and what version of the config are you using?
This usually happens because of a mismatch of demo ticking and interp, as far as I'm aware. What is your interp set at?
Which addons are you using?
Which version of mastercomfig were you using before you updated?
Can you try filesystem_buffer_size 32768 in your autoexec? If that doesn't work, try snd_async_fullyasync 0;snd_async_minsize 262144

I am not sure what you downloaded. Could you clarify?
ScoutmanIn mastercomfig medium if i put characters=high in modules.cfg only the eye movement is working but not the facial animations, any help ?

Updated recommended base launch options to: -novid -nojoy -nosteamcontroller -nohltv -particles 1 -NoQueuedPacketThread +cl_clean_textures_on_death 1 +mat_lodin_time 0
You can also try +cl_threaded_bone_setup 1 which enables threaded bone setup for animations, improving performance. It is not enabled by default as it can cause crashes, but many people have reported that it has worked fine for them.

Yep, most likely. I don't think it's anything specially crafted, though it could be.
