Also, by my count about 30% of invite is made up of new faces this season. Sure, thats probably a lot more than usual, made possible by the death of an abnormally high number of invite teams last season, but it's clearly not impossible to break into. The thing is however, it's extremely rare for an IM player to get picked up cold and brought up. Why? Because there are always experienced invite players looking (Where do you think the players of all the dead teams go?) who may not be better, but are safer bets. If you want to get a chance in Invite i suggest you either get extremely lucky or actually put in some hard work with a team and dont let your team die season after season.
ESEA, bringing a whole new meaning to try-harding in scrims.
also shortening uber timing would actually make the "problem" worse. most stalemates are caused by people being to scared to take a fight where they are going to get forced through a choke point meanwhile the enemy kites away from them until the uber is down. Having a 3 second uber would not change the mechanics of a choke point, but merely make it that much harder to get anything done with a bad uber and let the enemy team hold a bit more ground before countering after the fact.
i dont see mix^ picking up someone who has so many obstacles to getting to lan.
Feature Suggestion:
I think it'd be cool if members of a team could sign up under a single "team stream" which when clicked on in the "Streams" tab, would take people to a normal stream page yet there would be a simple and intuitive way to switch between viewpoints of all the members of that team which are currently streaming.
For example if someone clicked the "Vector" Stream they would be taken to a stream page, which would show ninjanick, me and Dougy streaming, if we were all streaming, giving people an easy way to switch to people who are streaming the same game.
Has anyone tried this with the ESEA client? When i originally built my new PC last december I was trying to use the Windows 8 release from microsoft at the time, and everything worked fine as far as TF2 and steam and drivers and stuff but when i actually tried to play a match the ESEA client would not work properly on the OS. In the end I had to install windows 7 to get it to work. Can anyone confirm that the client works on Windows 8?
there have been intel lans but never any with even a tf2 crowd. There have also been occasional nightly tf2 lans that i have gone to at the university of colorado put on by some of the RA's but idk if that is still going on.
giffy is a fun nice guy in all my interactions with him
Wow! Thanks to everyone for their support. It will be very very weird playing without shwan, let alone making such a step up at the same time. I just hope that as a team we can use this as a learning experience and not be too worried about our results. If we are honest with ourselves, we ought to be able to have fun no matter how the season goes.
live performance at/for the next lan?
also league fee for IM is more expensive but you dont have to worry about that just yet.
Scholaryeah you should tell phrakture and jav to man up and come back
didn't they
