the problem is that hl its already established as a competitive mode in the tf2 scene
sure it splits the community and it drivens ppl away from the way the game was "supposedly" to be played (6´s), but thats what you get when valve completely ignores this game as competitive, and the game becomes community driven for all these years.
like it or not the tf2 community created it and its not going anywhere, its a bit late for wishful thinking an this point
all these 6´s vs HL will exist forever and nothing benificial its gonna come from it, thats for sure

maybe bo3 on the early ranks and bo5 on the later ones

the cs scene has always been relutant to change
same stuff happened from 1.6 to source, takes a while to grow into, but source blatantly sucked and the devs learned from the mistake
i still think you cant compare introducing a gigantic update to a game on its "early" days to introducing one to a game as old as tf2

why are you guys comparing a new game that just came out at the time and was starting to grow with a game thats been out for 10 years ?

even though i agree with you 100%, i also agree with the reddit post that mentions he should be more responsible with opinions like this
like it or not he has a massive tf2 fanbase and he´s a very influential person to these people, even though i agree with him, sharing opinions like this wont help the game at all
i played this game for five years and never knew what a cheat was or lmaobox was till the day one of these popular tf2 youtubers decided to make a video about it, from that day forward everytime i joined a freaking pub it was lmaobox this lmaobox that, esp this, esp that, till this day
most of the tf2 players are really casual players and the only insight they get of this game is from these youtubers

overwatch needs more skill than etf2l prem this season

hats are important to tf2 i get it, but you cant deny the fact that valve gave a bit too much attention to the hats and ignored all the rest (thats why this game runs the way it does)
theres nothing wrong with making a little money on the market and having some cool unusuals, by all means go for it
i mean those people that basically stop playing the actual game and join servers to show off the whatever the fuck unusual effect they bought to get attention, who seem to spend their monthly income unboxing 100 crates at a time, that have 5k hours on the game but cant seem to do a single rocket jump

i can´t stand watching popular tf2 youtubers like muselk or strife or star, i can´t comprehend the reason for their fanbases.
I also can´t comprehend people who devote their time and money buying/trading pixels in a videogame.
When i see someone displaying on their profiles a ton of gold weapons and a bunch of unusuals i honestly feel he must be an idiot.

high level tf2 is a joke, apart from a dozen ppl that actually know what they´re doing the rest are just DM´ers that just follow someone else´s calls
