I heard of someone they had a bind for "gg". Really, it's only two letters, and it's more sincere to rarely use the term except for when it was an actual good game than just having a bind that you press automatically after the end of the game even if it wasn't, becuase "etiquette". Yea as if saying gg after a 5-0 roll other way makes you look like you meant it. I made it a habit to say bg after each round i win in a pub just or lobby so i can read reactions like "what u meen??"

AdebisiBack to the demoman discussion, where does Kaidus rank? Out of interest.
keeping in the spirit of the thread, i think kaidus is extremely overrated. most of the plays he did were both incredibly risky and not highly rewarding. when he does flashy plays like that and it works, it just gives people who arent as good the idea that they should try doing that and naturally being not nearly as good as kaidus they would likely mess up a lot and be like why am i losing. not at all a big fan of his style

Hitting crazy shots isn't nearly as impressive as hitting normal shots with remarkable consistency.
i feel like ranga placement is wrong on mustards list him and ictus are like our only good players atm tbh
Its so interesting to me mustard that you can make these posts that are 90% spot on and 10% so laughably wrong that it makes me wonder if I'm the crazy one for agreeing with the rest of the content
You do it so consistently is it intentional?

I like the way you ranked the scouts, but i'd say shrug is right up there on 1

I come here for the tf2, but I stay for the premium quality shitposts.
UGC is a good place to get into competitive TF2 at first, and not a waste of time for players trying to improve.
For players completely new to comp, and with around 1000 hours or less in the game, the pure dm and gamesense needed to not be atrocious in open is simply out of reach for the first season or two. UGC is easy to get into, has other bad players, and doesn't require a financial investment just to take your first steps in the game.
I played iron last season, this season I'm scrimming for two or more hours 4-5 days a week and improving a lot with a dedicated team (2-0 so far against *relatively* solid opposition) and I'm definitely going to play open next season. I know I'll be pretty bad and we'll get rolled a lot, but after playing against equal opposition for a while I have the fundamentals down and I'm having tons of fun and I'm looking forward to the challenge of ESEA.
UGC has been a great place for me to start and shouldn't be constantly dismissed in such a snobbish manner like so many in this community do.

Its not that UGC is bad. Its that its not necessary. I know its unrealistic, but if every iron and steel 6s team decided to just play in open, within 2 seasons esea would be back up to 4 divisions and IM would actually be a real division .
ESEA is basically the only shot tf2 has at this point to have a truly competitive and professional league, but this community never quite bought into it in the same way cs players did. It's not really possible (or worth ) changing at this point but hopefully the argument that everyone makes against UGC is a bit easier to understand .

i think the level in eu prem is quite pathetic to the point i stopped watching prem casts to learn more about the game/how to play.
i also think the greatest ever team was i49 mix^ and not froyo/epsi because they did not rely on one single player to make sick plays (hello cw mike sheep) nor on scout dm powerhouses but on their actual team play.
And also because they didn't use snipers too much, i hate that class.

Yep froyotech with literally the best record in tf2 history and the most dominant team of all time is based off of carries

I think UGC would more necessary if/when the EU community drop etf2l finally, so that there's only the free UGC and the pay-to-compete ESEA

yeah thats why they hold EU leagues for other games, so they'd probably be interested in bringing TF2 EU leagues back if the community showed interest.

Interesting.
I think his alternative style is really interesting though. Maybe it's a case of balance (as most things are in life), but some of his medic picks, for example, show that elements of what he did are incredibly useful and the key is maybe moderation.
It's actually a question you get across most sports isn't it; flashy and extravagant or safer and reliable?
