i accidentally chugged a bottle of piss to stop the burning in my throat
paladins payload is fairly interesting because the "push" radius is massive compared to tf2, so the player pushing the payload has a greater ability to move around and enemies can more easily stop the cart from moving, sort of creating mini teamfights centered around the cart whenever multiple people from each team are within range of the cart. making that change alone could make a payload map more viable for a fun competitive map.
sopsI think mine is pretty neat.
I change my nick name a lot and my steam friends struggle to keep track of me, so having an avatar that just says my name works.
It's a reference to an album by a band I like :)
I made it in paint so it doesn't look 100% sadly.
here u go dawg
sandblastwell I cant see ESEA's stats and current placement for the rest of the reg season due to my acc share ban (refer to the IM thread for questions) so i'm not doing PR's cuz I can't access the ESEA network
damn this is the saddest shit i've heard all week
NakadaSorry for being clueless but what does a "grassroot esport" mean? I want to answer the questions
essentially it means continuing to promote the competitive form game without the support of the developers
bicycleforratstl;dr = "i have compiled lots of sources that prove that a lot, if not all of donald trump's policies will be very ineffective and harmful, but i won't show them to you because you're all closed-minded and walking SHEEPLE, AND COMPLETELY WRONG ABOUT THIS WHOLE ELECTION, UNLIKE ME"
im sorta new to this forum, am i just feeding a troll? i can't tell because i do know people who unironically think like this
here are some sources for some of eee's claims
his tax plan would increase the deficit
he wants to reban gay marriage where possible
he doesn't support international alliances
he provides very little detail on how he plans to do most of these things
trumps policies are unconstitutional
feel free to tell me how all of these news articles from different sources are all liberal media shills, and how they probably aren't telling the truth anyway even though most of them contain direct quotes from donald trump
MR_SLINI don't think Valve thinks that TF2 with no class limits is the best way to push the game forward.
if this is the case then why doesn't valve give us any indication more than a cryptic post from someone who visited valve months ago? It's not like the format sigafoo is pushing for this tournament is any closer to the theoretical future valve competitive system than current matchmaking is, and if it IS closer then why leave 99% of the community in the dark about it?
eeeClinton is polling +14 in the newest post-tape pre-debate NBC poll. Gonna be interesting to see how the debate shifts that
Obviously he is going to lose at this point, but i think we could see a Goldwater level defeat if his campaign keeps moving in this direction
i thought votekick was going to get enabled in dm, hes in there right now
obviously this isn't going to change any trump supporters mind but it also is further alienating him from any moderate voter. he's at 40% and down 5-6 points by most polls, if he has any chance of pulling ahead in the race in the very small amount of time that's left before the election, he can't have stories like this. this is just another nail in the coffin for the trump campaign, and i'll be glad to see him buried on election day.
sigafoo, what you are trying to do with this tournament is run an experiment that only has variables. no (or very little) useful information will be gleaned because of the sheer amount of chaos presented from this ruleset. note that i dont mean the rules are inherently chaotic or bad, but that they are all new, people wont know how to best play around them and teams will be shaky.
what i strongly believe you should do instead is run a series of slightly smaller prize pool events with fewer new rules, so that you can really understand the impact of the new rule relative to the current 6's meta. have an event that only showcases payload, a/d, and new koth maps but with the existing 6's ruleset, then run an event that has the weapon pick and ban system in place, etc. etc. running the events like this would give you, the community, and valve a lot more concrete methodology and understanding of how these rules work.
not only that, but running the events with a less chaotic ruleset would also prevent 6's elitism from rearing it's ugly head. with the way the tournament is structured right now, it would give every diehard 6's fan the perfect opportunity to say "look at how messy the game is when we use these other rules, they are all garbage!" if you introduce those rules one at a time though, it gives those rules a much higher likelihood of success and adoption or interest among the greater community, because it will already resemble the 6's they are familiar with.
thanks for your time & dedication to growing and improving the community, and i hope that you take what i think into consideration
