are you sure you're using the right cable/port for your monitor because I had the same problem until I tried all the different cables and one worked or something

CS:GO has very limited customisation but nobody complains. Why? Because they got the default settings RIGHT, and the few customisable things that exist are PURELY superficial/preference-based (sensitivity, crosshair, aspect ratio etc). I don't give a shit whether overwatch has an fov slider but I DO give a shit if the default fov is too low (which it is).
Quake got it the most right. Default settings are good, and in-depth customisability exists. CS:GO is next tier down, with default settings good, but limited customisability. TF2 has fucking dumb default settings, but if you know what you're doing you can make it work well again (interp, fov etc). Overwatch looks like it's going to be the worst on the ladder with awful defaults and no customisation. Very few things could persuade me to play it seriously if the basic design is as bad as I fear.
if vertical fov in tf2 is 75 at fov_desired 90 (which it probably is)
horizontal fov in tf2 at 16:9 = ~107.51
horizontal fov in overwatch at 16:9 = ~91.49
horizontal fov in tf2 at 4:3 = ~91.31
horizontal fov in overwatch at 4:3 = ~75.17
assuming I've done the right maths overwatch will feel similar to fov_desired 75
flyingbuddyI have a steel series rival atm, how do u guys think he switch from the rival to this would be?
Like what are the major differences?
different shape, lower weight, more pronounced and harder clicks on the ec-a series
I think both mice use the same sensor and similar implementation though.
basically don't change unless any of those things *really* bother you
I would say the only way to aim is a combination of tracking and flicking or somewhere in between. However against scouts with better dm it's really easy to let your technique slip and just flick randomly and hope for the best.
When this happens, take your time with shots, try to engage at long range so they're easier to hit reliably, and only shoot when your shots are likely to hit (and get your roamer/scout buddy to help you out!).
higher graphics settings won't increase your framerate. They won't significantly decrease it if you have a good gpu, but they will NEVER increase it.
a clientside command to allow all projectiles to fire from the centre, firing from the side feels so gross to me
also fix the weird screen jitter when strafing into someone
smobomy guess is that your internet doesn't like the competitive tickrates on servers, but handles pub values just fine.
AFAIK all tf2 servers are 66 tick so this wouldn't really make sense
ma3la demonstrates pretty well why pyro unlocks are banned here
i remember i did a ton of research on this and I ended up making the conclusion that it's not worth using and the whole myth about raw input in csgo being broken is just that, a myth
can't remember the actual reasons though so don't count my opinion over some who actually knows what they're doing
edit: so I gave it a try and i changed my mind, it definitely feels much more consistent, might just be playing well tonight but I'd recommend you give it a go and decide for yourself
happens to a friend of mine who always has viewmodels on
i used to read a lot (I mean 3+ hours a day probably) as a little kid
i really liked the edge chronicles and still do. in that series "stormphrax" is a revered substance that weighs next to nothing in the light, but a thimbleful weighs more than a thousand ironwood trees in absolute darkness (it has a natural sciences vibe). "phraxdust" is stormphrax turned to powder at the exact moment of twilight, and it purifies large volumes of water in an instant.
also it's super nice phonetically
