#14 ASUS VG248QE vs Benq XL2411Z in Hardware
Menth_so, even if i don't pretend to use lightboost, i should get the benq anyway because it's newer and has black equalizer technology?

are there any differences in those two besides that?

Probably

Not as far as I know aside from other relatively insignifiant firmware differences etc

It's funny to see how hyped lightboost was and now most people (including me) prefer 144 hertz

I'd probably get the BenQ simply because you get more options and if I'm not mistaken both monitors use the same panel anyway.

We're blessed in Australia in that almost everyone in tf2centre is competent and enjoyable to play with so I do that whenever I can

#14 Best zowie mouse for palm grip? in Hardware

if your sensei fits your hand it's probably not worth buying a zowie just for sensor quality. Very good laser sensors are just as good as perfect optical sensors unless you're obsessive about it.

I've always kind of wondered about this. At the moment, aim technique as such in fps games isn't even a thing, people are just told to practice and ride it out until you're good. But in most other similar disciplines there's a specific way to do things, eg the musical instrument thing. I guess why it hasn't really developed for us is because of how little IRL interaction there is and thus there is no real way to critique someone's mouse technique or whatever; nevertheless I'm interested to see if 'correct aim technique" ever. becomes a thing, and ithink this thread isn't as stupid as it may sound.

#27 i52 best players in TF2 General Discussion

people who impressed me the most:

med - harbleu, for the plays
demo - termo, for putting out so much damage with so few deaths
scout - clockwork and stark
pocket - lansky was incredible
roamer - seagull for like 90% bomb success rate on top of incredible damage
sniper - sheep but also b4nny

edit: wtf was with termo's obsession with the tube strat this lan though, half the reason mix destroyed them so hard on badlands was because they would just clean up the rest of iM with what was effectively a demo advantage

#49 Asus 144hz for $250 in Hardware

honestly I can barely notice the input lag, but somehow lightboost just feels worse/more jittery to me. Maybe I'm just sensitive to flicker but straight up 120hz/144hz feels cleaner and smoother in general.

I really like your style, first demo jump was perfect and a lot of the super-slow smooths, rendering and transitions were excellent.

Often the timescale would change from intense slow-mo immediately to super fast then back again jarringly which hurt the flow a bit/made it harder to see the aim but overall just keep following your style, you have potential.
