have you read both books? which translations of each?

Nope. I have read the bible quite extensively throughout (many different translations) but i'm not gonna lie and say I have read the entirety of the quran although I do think I have read enough to be able to form a valid opinion on it. So based on what I have read I think the quran is much more hostile than the bible and I think I have perfectly good reasons for this.

kounterpartsSheepy when mustard is getting more frags then you its a sign you should stop posting

I don't have plus or minus frags enabled because I think all they do is prevent people from posting their real opinion, or it makes it so that people post an opinion that they know will appeal to the masses so they will get upvoted (this is one of the reasons reddit is horrible). You would be surprised at how much people care about what people think of them on the internet.

If people really want me to stop posting I will do so and won't make any more future posts on this thread. Although I don't really understand how my posting is doing any real harm. I think its good for people to have discussions and voice their opinion and this is why I post what I really think and not worry how many people agree or disagree with me.

mustardoverlordPosts like this are the reason no one can take you seriously. You bristle like crazy the second anyone points out how you're making a double standard specifically for Islam, and in the same post attack the religion like crazy with snarky sarcasm and an actual fucking xD. For the record, the Bible is exactly like the Quran in terms of the crazy amounts of violence and intolerance it is filled with, including actions condoned by God, actions committed in the name of God, and actions committed BY God. An Alien coming to Earth would have a pretty hard fucking time distinguishing between the two.

Yes I should not have done it in a sarcastic way like that but I still think my point is valid. What I was trying to say was Islam isn't a peaceful religion (neither is christianity) but christianity is definitely not more violent or spiteful than the quran, this might be an opinion but all it really takes is 1 read of both the books to realize this.

ikpureThat is a great example of Islamophobia.

Did you read the post? It is 100% normal to associate unpleasant events with unpleasant thoughts, it has nothing to do with "racism" or "islamophobia", The same thing would happen if it were australians blowing people up - people would start associating negative thoughts and feelings towards australian people despite the fact that not all the australians were blowing stuff up. Its not racism or "islamophobia" to be scared of muslims nowadays, it is basic human psychology: negative events = negative feelings towards something.

mustardoverlord I fine it hard to take anything you say seriously anymore since your first argument was literally "ur a racist prick!!!" and I don't want to get into a big argument about this but I will try to explain my posts more clearly as I don't think I was getting my point across in the right way.

1st my post about the muslims sexual abuse this was me being angry at the law enforcement about not investigating because of "political correctness". I was using an example when Woogiebug pretty much summed up the point I was trying to make in a much better post.

WoogiebugPolitical Correctness is slowly killing our society and it looks like the Migrants and ISIS group are seeing it as a huge weakness/exploit.

When will everyone realise we've become consumed with making everyone happy and have forgotten to look after our own well being...

2nd I think the word "civilized" has too many interpretations and it might not have been the right word for me to use like you said (my english isn't very good so I don't always know the correct word to use). I was trying to point out that there is a big difference in culture between our countries in europe and the muslim dominated countries in the middle east and that sometimes people don't adapt very well to such a big difference in culture, this can be a problem with some migrants entering European countries.

YouSince when is hating someone for their culture any better than hating someone for their race?SheepylolI don't hate people who follow it just because they follow it but I do hate the religion itself and I have my reasons for this.

trash
how do you think you can interpret a "muslim", solely on looks, without them potentially being of another religion entirely

A lot of muslims wear clothing that people identify as muslim, for example those stupid looking man dresses with head dresses ect. Of course not all muslims wear these, so you can't always know who is a muslim and who isn't. The fact I was bringing up is that because of these recent events carried out by muslims, many people start to feel uncomfortable when they see someone in "muslim" clothing or if they hear that someone is a muslim. This has nothing to do with racism as it is normal for people to associate fear and discomfort with something that has caused so much terror (in this case ISIS and muslim extremists).

A good example of this is how many women will feel intimidated or downright terrified of men if they were severely abused (sexually or physically) by men when they were children. If this is the case then you can't call out these women as being "sexist" because they have learned to associate men with pain and fear.

BonafideSheepy is the opposite of a tough guy, more like fluffy ball full of strong opinions

I don't think I really have strong opinions lol. My only opinion here is that I dislike Islam as a religion and what it stands for and I know that a lot of other people feel this way as well. Apparently nowadays disliking a religion is "racist" as people here have let me know. Which is actually kinda funny cause i'm not even hating a race, Islam is not a race its not like I hate the people who follow it, I just don't like the religion itself but people here are so stupid they interpret that as racist because the SJWs on tumblr have told them to.

2112The Bible is actually way more violent and spiteful than the Qur'an

Please don't say things like this I actually find it offensive. Out of all the stupid posts in this thread this is the only one that has made me mad. Sure the bible has violence but it is nothing like the quran at all. Really this has to be one of the most ignorant statements I have seen on here. Before you reply could you please go out and read both the quran and the bible (which is something you obviously haven't done) and then think about what you said.

Also peaceful religion am i right guys? xD http://i.imgur.com/uP80YOm.jpg

mustardoverlordSheepylolThe truth is a lot of people from these countries aren't as civilized as we are and this is why we are seeing so many people from these countries raping our children, in the UK at least. People need to understand that the lifestyle in some of these middle eastern places are a lot different from what its like over here.
What the fuck are you talking about you racist freak

Thanks for the great insight you bring up. I'm really happy that we can have mature conversations where we can share our opinions like adults. I think you bring up a very valid point mustard and I respect your opinion. However I must go back to one of my previous posts on this - Muslims were getting away with raping children in the UK because the police were scared of being called racist by closed-minded ignorant man-children like you who decide to argue based on emotion instead of listening to the facts.

Also the FACT is that some middle eastern muslim countries aren't as civilized as western non-muslim countries.

SpaceCadet has a point. Everytime something like this happens it makes me more and more weary when I see a muslim. You can never know who the extremists are. The more this happens the more people are gonna be scared when they see a muslim walking down the street. Also I feel now like we should really tighten up on who we let into our countries, maybe start doing background checks and interviews more ect. The truth is a lot of people from these countries aren't as civilized as we are and this is why we are seeing so many people from these countries raping our children, in the UK at least. People need to understand that the lifestyle in some of these middle eastern places are a lot different from what its like over here.

I don't think its right to not give any blame religion for all this. Obviously Islam isn't what made people do these things and the only reason people kill like this is because of human nature. However in my eyes Islam is not a religion of peace and the quran has many passages that can be interpreted to cause violence, rape ect. People are using the quran and Islam as a religion as an excuse to do these terrible things, this is why ISIS are getting all these followers, people want to do these things and ISIS are using the quran and islam as a way to get people to join and they are almost exploiting it so they can do these horrible things. Islam is not a peaceful religion and people like to get mad whenever somebody says this. All you have to do is google and you will find so many violent, misogynistic passages that ISIS are using to justify and excuse their actions. Its true that the vast majority of muslims have nothing to do with these people but i'm afraid the quran does have some part to blame for all this. If Islam wasn't a violent religion then these people would not be doing this "in the name of Allah"

My point is that people are to blame for this and even if there was no religion, people would still be killing because thats how the world is. However because of Islam these terrorists can use it as a way to brainwash people into joining them thus making them stronger and able to inflict more damage.

squid_squad_boy_60-nineDo we value french more because they are our allies? Friends? Relatives?

Yes. We value France more because it is a part of Europe and there are a lot of people from this community there. Truth is no one really cares about Burundi cause most people here haven't even heard of it.

What needs to happen is we need to stop fucking about with these people and start background checking, searching for suspicious activity and be very weary of anyone from the area around Syria and Islamists in general. A big problem in the EU is people are actually scared to report muslims and police in the UK have actually been avoiding arresting them for actual rape because they are scared of being called "racist". We need to stop that shit and start looking at the facts: Muslims are the ones blowing stuff up right now and despite it being true that not all muslims are like these extremists, we still need to stop being scared of sjws calling us racist for wanting to target more suspicious muslims and start focusing our attention on them. They aren't gonna stop doing this as many of ISIS are already in our home country's in the EU. All we can do is rely on law enforcement to start investigating muslims more specifically.

Here is some proof that people are actually more scared of SJWs than they are of rapists and terrorists: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/9253250/Rochdale-grooming-trial-Police-accused-of-failing-to-investigate-paedophile-gang-for-fear-of-appearing-racist.html

ScrewballThis isn't the result of diversity or anything like that you fucking fascist prick. This is the result of meddling in the affairs of other countries for profit and the US's endless wars of imperialism.

Agreed. i'm pretty sure that this is the reason they have done this. I think this is just evil people taking revenge for their country. However in the end what it really comes down to is people being evil. People will always try to find reasons and excuses to kill. Its been like this since the dawn of time.

Flicker
Please, do not show any hatred towards islam. Islamists are nothing but people who have been corrupted, tricked into believing that the Coran (Quran for english speakers) delivers a message of violence. They're just fanatics, and musulmans are paying the price for it by getting accused of something they have nothing to do with. Most of my friends who are musulmans find Islamists despicable. Trust me, there aren't many people who show as much despise for Islamists as musulmans.

I understand this and of course not all Muslims are like that. However I still feel very strongly against Islam and most of what the religion stands for. I don't hate people who follow it just because they follow it but I do hate the religion itself and I have my reasons for this.

kirbyI hope at least one of these fuckers gets caught and suffers the worst, unimaginable form of torture. It's impossible to give a shit about them.

We are not them. I understand how angry and upset everyone is but torturing or killing them would be revenge and we would be dragging ourselves down to their level.
