It's pretty easy to manage games on steam. I have a bunch of categories for my steam games. I have a crapload in my "Won't play" category.

It's not even a big change. You basically halved your sensitivity. Sure, it will take a day or two to get used to the change where your flick shots will be mostly accurate, but it's not a huge undertaking.
There is no reason to give away codes. If your friend can't donate his own 99 cents, he probably doesn't need the game. It's not a big deal if you buy the same game twice. You're still buying 3-10 other games cheap as dirt anyway.

holstered and put away mean the same thing you dolt
scantry gun 2 strong for power stick
I'm cool with the honor system here. Ban the exploit and overturn a round only if the opposing team complains/submits a ticket saying it happened and it can be verified by watching the demo. Other than that, it's not only stupid, but also unreasonable to expect someone to monitor every match demo until this exploit is resolved.
Ban the winger though. Scouts are already strong enough, dammit.
Medic's Crusader Crossbow now silently reloads when unholstered, similar to Pyro flaregun
Am I the only one who finds it funny that valve thinks unholstered means holstered?
Removed some servers that forged player counts from quickplay and the server browser
Now all they need to do is auto-blacklist any servers that have bots but lie and say they don't.
i vote to ban it so alfa will heal ppl
YouMustMikeI think the general problem with this thread is that it's not specified whether or not this is a specific warning or whether or not this is an expression of the general rule TFTV is going to follow.
In the case of specific targeting, asking we want fuck and mason's team to change their names privately would've been better and ultimately would probably arrive at a solution without the appearance of forcing anyone's hand.
In the case of the general rule as to why some matches aren't being casted I feel like this should've been some kind of article or included in some kind of rule post. This kind of nonchalant forum post doesn't really give the authority it deserves and appears to me, at least, to be directed mainly at the two Main teams mentioned above.
In short, think before you post.
Not to poop in your cheerios, but there is no "general problem" with this thread. The OP was straightforward and should not have warranted a debate. It was pretty clear that nobody was asking/begging/forcing anyone to change team names--the OP simply said that Fog and crew will not be casting any games if your team name is deemed inappropriate for the cast. Simple.
I will never understand questions like these...I don't want to sound like I'm putting anyone down, because that's not my intent, but if your monitor has the capability, why are you asking on a forum instead of just giving it a shot?
Horizontal refresh rate is not lower than vertical. It's nearly a thousand times higher usually. In your scenario, the horizontal refresh is 56,000 (hence khz) while the vertical refresh is 60.
The important thing to understand is that this weapon requires the user to think differently. Long range spam is nonexistent, so the team must play differently as well. Conversely, the opposing team must think differently to counter it. Pushing directly into the LC is bad. It has the ability to bounce ubered players around even more than a pyro--while the demo sits at a relatively safe medium distance.
LC is not better against scouts close range because you need to hit them 2-3 times (vs 2 pipes for a fully buffed scout) and aiming LC at close range is odd due to the way it fires. LC reloads slower than pipes. LC also has something like 1.5-2x self damage, so close range fights with it are scary. Hitting a scout point blank will usually make the cannonball bounce right back at you and you'll take 50-100 damage from it if you're unlucky.
LC excels at medium range where you can knock jumpers out of their projected pathways and double-donk players coming through chokes or tight spaces. It also somewhat negates height advantage, since firing it upward at an enemy will frequently knock them back in a path that makes hitting the double-donk pretty easy.
There are angles at certain mids where you can completely wreck an enemy team as they're trying to get in with LC where you would only do moderate damage with pipes.
There are other angles during some mids that give comical double-donks when players can't even see you (e.g. cp_process ground to top of mid).
It was super fun to use while I was playing demo this season. Most people will deliver significantly less damage from the LC than they would from pipes in a full match. Seagull is incredibly analytic and will likely be incredible with LC before LAN and he'll be the reason it's banned next season. :>
ToastyTHTHey, I have just recently built my computer, and am looking to buy a copy of Windows 8/8.1 (64 bit) for lower than retail price, can anyone possibly sell me their copy/direct me to a place where I could buy it for less than 100 dollars.
ToastyTHTThey are off sale at the moment, but thanks for the reply, so far the cheapest I have seen is 94 dollars (including Shipping)
Seems like you already have what you're asking.
If you're a student or have access to the required documents, you could order from here.

Not_MatlockIt's worth noting that QoS only works for upload bandwidth. There's no way to control the flow of data coming from the internet and going into your router, only from your router to the internet.
I spent hours trying to configure QoS on my router in an attempt to get somewhat normal pings ingame when my brother was surfing the internet and downloading stuff. It didn't work at all.
You can absolutely use QoS for bidirectional traffic. Your idea is flawed from the very beginning since data does not come from the internet and go into your router. I would concur that you have little control over the flow of data "coming from the internet and going into your modem", but even that can be misleading.
It's true that you have little control over unsolicited data coming at you (read: DoS/DDoS attacks, etc.) Most data is not unsolicited. Most of the time, an application on a port on a host on your network is requesting that data, and you absolutely can control the flow of that. I don't know what router you use or what its feature set includes. It may not have the ability to do that, but it is certainly possible and is definitely a requirement for places like airports, hospitals, and any other businesses that require decent connections while simultaneously offering guest wireless connectivity.
