#7 Unable to bind keys. in Q/A Help

Oh, you need to put "r_drawviewmodel 0" in quotations since it has a space in the command. So put the following in console and it should save:

bind [ "r_drawviewmodel 1"
bind ] "r_drawviewmodel 0"

After you enter the binds into console you can check to see if the game remembers your bind by typing "bind [" or "bind ]". If the console returns the correct information then your bind should work.

#2 LF scout mentor in Mentoring

I don't main scout but I do know a few tips that I find help a lot of scouts get better at their class:

-Don't try to be a primary talker on your team
-Listen for damage comms, don't make damage comms
-Make the other team waste their ammo without letting them actually shoot you
-Cap points
-Shoot the same people as your roamer
-Never get in 1v1s during stalemates

#19 Reverse sniper script in TF2 General Discussion
DrPloxosmakersThe medic autoheal script won't work for this because with medic, you need to constantly hold the button, whereas with sniper, holding the button will cause you to zoom in and out constantly. I do think this can be accomplished without wait commands, but it's going to take multiple aliases to function properly. I'll see what I can whip up when I get home (in 10-12 hours).there's actually just an option that you only have to click the target once built into the game.
Sure, it's lazy mode, but it works.

I'm pretty sure the native TF2 autoheal technically double clicks targets, therefore uber flashes become really inefficient.

My medic config is setup to only heal when I'm not pressing mouse 1. I can see how that could be useful for sniping as well.

#7 Improving #tf2mix in TF2 General Discussion
kirbyCan you please ban/restrict certain people from playing? I know, everyone should be able to play. But frankly some people should just not be allowed to play. People such as "Mikeikeikeikeikeke", Bape and those alike, they enjoy ruining pugs. It's especially worse when one of said players argue or "troll" their team in Mumble during the game and not listening to anyone or anything.

Yes.

#5 Impatient scout problems. in Q/A Help
badgersSometimes in gully & many other maps, process for example I'm watching computer & a soldier kills me with splash damage easily, when I'm holding just out of the health packs range. Or in gully: I try to watch flank; but get too aggressive and soldiers pick me w/ a scout. I guess sometimes I get baited, but that is not entirely the case.

The good news is this problem is very easy to fix. From what you have described it seems like you and your roamer just aren't synced up well enough to play off of each other's damage and positioning.

Something very important for you to personally do is consciously be the bait that gets your roamer to output damage on the other team. It could be that either you or your roamer have a w+m1 problem, but honestly it doesn't matter who "the problem" is. The blame game won't fix this situation. The only solution for your flank's situation is for you and your roamer to actively keep track of each other's positioning.

If you don't see your roamer around then it should be an immediate red flag for you to not try to make plays, because most likely you're going to end up getting baited to death. If he doesn't see you around it should be an immediate red flag in his mind to wait until you're there to help. You and your roamer need to have an understanding that you need to be patient with your positioning until you are both in a good position to trade damage with the enemy flank.

It's really really simple once you practice it. I hope that made sense and helps you and your flank out. :)

#29 More Coaches in Newbie Mixes in TF2 General Discussion

Coached a few mixes tonight and had a blast as always. The thing I love most about coaching newbie mixes is that even though people are somewhat new- they are very willing to listen to input and to act upon it. There is literally nothing more fun in TF2 than playing with people who are willing to adapt.

I used to get the bug in dx9 before I used dx8. I honestly don't know if your statement is true or false blue.

That's been a bug for a long time when you use TF2's built in "autoheal" feature. You can either just go with it or turn autoheal off in advanced options.
