#26 ESEA S19 in TF2 General Discussion
Frost_BiteDoes anyone know when the season is from and until? I would love to play but have summer plans around July that would prevent me from participating.

Assuming no delays, the season begins the week of April 26th and the regular season ends the week of June 14th (for most teams - if you have to play a ninth week, it ends the week of June 21st). Playoffs will most certainly extend into July (and maybe even August). The ESEA website lists the season ending July 19th, but the ending date they list is not always accurate.

Your team has someone who's on a S18 playoff team. They can't sign up until the playoffs conclude unless they leave that team.

#4 What happened to the old TFTV score layout? in TF2 General Discussion

As far as I understand, we use the VTV scoreboard right now because it's the only full NodeCG-compatible scoreboard available and partially because it displays the scores for all maps in a matchup. We have considered doing a redesign to modernize it and bring it more in line with the TFTV visual style, but we don't have the resources to dedicate to a graphics overhaul right now.

#122 Cheater/Hacker thread in TF2 General Discussion

Indeed, the magnitude of such a project (especially if it's on a purely volunteer basis, which it appears to be) is a bit unwieldy.

It's possible, but unless you're getting very experienced people who are versed in both working with the Source Engine as well as detecting cheats, it's going to be extremely difficult.

#210 StatusSpec in Projects

StatusSpec 0.24.0 has just been released. It contains fixes for gibs not working with custom models and crashes when using the local player module as well as some minor additions to the camera tools module for future projects.

As always, feedback is encouraged for existing or possible new features.

TechDude-Most config files don't enable sv_cheats
-The values would probably go back to default if they enabled cheats, set the convars, and disabled cheats
-Are these cvars server controlled or client controlled? It's possible the server setting doesn't matter.

They're not replicated, so servers can't control the client-side values, and as far as I know, cheat cvar values are not reset after cheats are disabled. I don't know if the variables being defined server-side mean that only the server values matter, but I assume the client is probably checking its own version.

#54 TF2Can.org Charity Marathon for Child's Play in Events

Sorry that the donation tracker was broken all the time. I'm really really bad at coding.

Great event, and great job to those who made it happen.

#6 Alternatives to Prec for Mac? in Q/A Help
komorebiHow does the whole bookmarking ability work? Is there a console command that you can use to output specific ticks to a text file on a mac?

There's an engine function to get the current tick, but as far as I'm aware no corresponding command.

#3 Alternatives to Prec for Mac? in Q/A Help

I emailed Valve a long time ago about the possibility of creating a version of P-REC compatible with Mac and Linux, but have not received any response. It doesn't look like there will be any chance of this anytime soon.

#17 scrim concept in TF2 General Discussion

I don't really understand what benefits a client would offer over a site with what you've said, but maybe I'm just not understanding the scenario properly.

If this is what you want to do, go for it, and all power to you. Just be forewarned that trying to integrate servers increases the difficulty tenfold (and if you're trying to provide the servers yourself, 100x).

#15 scrim concept in TF2 General Discussion

So why wouldn't one of the sites posted above work for that purpose?
