I created a tool to show the ESEA match schedule in a hopefully better format:
http://eseaschedule.fwdcp.net/
It was created specifically for usage in scheduling casts, so I figure that you all may be able to get use out of it. Any feedback is appreciated.
What's broken? I don't see anything wrong there.
We've resolved our starting roster... for now, at least, and hopefully for the future. However, we could always use more backups - if you're interested, let me know. We especially need backups for scout, roamer, pocket, and demo.
We are looking for a starter to replace our pocket Iso who had to step down from the team. If you're interested, shoot me a message on Steam.
plobswe almost have a roster, but the 3 join players a week is messing things up
We just hit this. Why is there a roster add limit before the first week of matches anyway?
I think I know why, and I'll be working on a fix soon.
We're looking for another scout. We'll be fine if we can't find one, but if you're still looking for a team and want to play, hit me up.
At this time, all of our other positions on the team are filled. Thanks to everyone who's tried out and good luck!
ShunSo if you go to pay a team fee--and then you back out of the page or go to a different page, you can't get back into it for an hour? What the fuck kind of website payment procedure is that? And it locks it out for the rest of the team?
Yep. The best thing you can do is go back through your history and try to find the PayPal link that you were sent to, which will still work.
As an update, we're also now looking for a scout to start, with uberchain stepping down from starting temporarily. Talk to me if you're interested.
Frost_BiteAsked for a tryout, said they'd try me out at 10, didn't respond to questions asking about how close they were to being done. Didn't give mumble info. Was kept waiting for a few hours. Never got a tryout.
Talked with one of the teams they scrimmed, said this team is bad.
I have never had worse interactions when working with a team captain, and that's including my time in iron hl.
I do sincerely apologize for what occurred last night. It was my mistake to give you a time of 10pm, since that's when we started scrims that night and not necessarily when we would be able to play with you (indeed, we overran by a lot). I thought I had messaged you later in the night when we were open to try you out, but in any case it is indeed my fault as a result of me trying to schedule several tryouts in the same night.
Everyone on this team is learning, and that includes me in the role of a team captain. This is clearly a time where I failed in my duties, and I hope to avoid such failures in the future.
ESEA is certainly not opposed to the idea of free offerings, considering they just acquired Frag Shack (a CS server community) and started transitioning all of their non-PUG/match servers to be free-to-play under that brand.
Now, I would never expect them to make the core of their service (matchmaking and league) free, but then again I would never have expected them to develop a free service like they have recently. If nothing else, perhaps they'd be willing to put up similar servers like DM for TF2. But I think even convincing them of that would require us to invest a bit more into ESEA, given how dire the situation looks currently.
As an update, we've filled all of our spots on the roster but pocket. If you're able to play that, shoot me a message and we'll talk!
Thanks to everyone that's talked to me so far! If possible, I'd like to try to get you all into rosters to play Open... we'll see what I can do.
No, teams aren't counted until they have 6 players paid, at least for the purposes of official registration. I'm not sure what the consolidation would be based on, though I presume it would be on the same basis.
I quickly threw together a site to more precisely track registration stats. It is in a very rough state and will be updated further, but I decided to release it now in order to present a better view of the situation.
