#95 Fully charged #21 -- ask infinite/Fornaught stuff: in TF2 General Discussion

#93:
that is not an example of 6s players being snide about HL, and it has nothing to do with the person I was responding to either, so I had no reason to believe it was in response to me whatsoever. there are a million reasons that open 6s players could've been being trash talking people from bonus and "just because we were HL players" is an extremely bold claim. unless someone brings up actual logs or gets some of the people who were doing trash talking to say what was going on there's no point in it. the whole point of why I'm posting in this argument here is to get out the point that, no, getting trash talked by 6s players as a HL player doesn't mean that your format is being persecuted -- or at the very very least not at a community wide level to the point where pinning it on "6s" players even makes sense.
the thing about invite players making HL seem like a joke is an entirely different topic, here.

#44 Competitive CTF concept - thoughts? in Map Discussion

you can build on any slope that's roughly 2:1 or shallower, even if you only find a high spot or a good enough trench you can build in it
ground rugged enough to impair sentry building ability would be unbearable for normal play

Areas near the cap where you can't build is a stupid bandage solution to bad geometry/layout problems.

equalsdI said it creates a new game, obviously balance issues would arise.

How is making a new game not a broken change? I think you have some fucked up exclusive definition of broken.

>the only class it breaks is scout
it kind of breaks heavy and pyro and sniper and spy and demoman and soldier too
i think engie and medic are the only classes that wouldn't "break" and thats only because they're outright supposed to attend to things

#15 ESEA and Maps: A proposal in TF2 General Discussion

cp_badlands_pro: now with 100% more snow.

also fixing doors that go up through the ground above them is simple as making them go down instead of up, it breaks canon a little unfortunately but it's better for gameplay.

#23 Incident Wrap-up in TF2 General Discussion

fees go towards the prize pot, really
the only "problem" is the way the league is even currently set up right now, once someone's secured a LAN spot they don't have to worry about the rest of the season. that's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's connected to incidents like this, and punishing players for treating their matches insincerely is totally reasonable if they "get away" with it in terms of whether they get to be part of the tournament.

#82 i take HL somewhat seriously and want to be better at it but there's still a huge difference between treating something as "inferior" in a respectful way and treating something snidely. general 6s treatment of hl is the former. believing anything else is like a persecution complex.
