In all seriousness, if Valve is reading this, then at least realize that picking up your own medi-gun after dying as a medic makes the game incredibly broken. You are literally not punished for dying as a medic if that medi-gun is just laying there. This won't make spectating the game easier or more interesting if this mechanic confuses it's own players. I assumed this was added to make the meta way more interesting, but it's really un-fair if a team is never "punished" if a medic can pick up his own uber.

how? literally every scrim, lobby, and pug I've played, whether it be 6s or HL, the medi-gun pickup thing proved to be incredibly fucking broken. The second a med dies on EITHER team, both teams have an incredibly un-fair chance at being fucked over. The med that died can pick up his own medi-gun, which a ton of players forget, or the med that's still alive can keep both medi-guns at his disposal by just juggling the dead medic's medi-gun to their own safety of the map.

Also, I'm sure it's being banned temporarily. People claim we should be making strats for this, but it's sunday night, the day before match night. Tons of people keep forgetting that this is a thing that can be abused, so it'd be un-wise to let teams go into a match with this broken mechanic.

Very good move. It beats moving the match a week to wait for Valve, which would be risky because Valve can just say "nah" and not actually fix the medigun-pickup crap, thus making the week-delay useless. This couldn't have ended better.

Just need to wait and see which idiot tries to pick up a medigun and get their match DQ'd

Pretty much. It's also the equivalent of CS:GO and dumb strats, like everyone buying negevs or dumb shit like that. It simply won't work against good players, and thus, is not the meta and just a gimmick.

Just an FYI, it isn't new for a player who got cut from their team to shit-talk anyone/everyone. Unless new evidence is provided, I don't see Vipa or his team getting in trouble. If I got cut from a team I've been leading for a while, I sure as hell would try to make everyone's image as tainted as possible out of anger.

Now, of course, this may not be the case, and Goofy may have been telling the truth and just doesn't care anymore. We don't have all the details, but I doubt much can/will be done from this "confession".

There needs to be an incentive to play this. It's currently free/beta, and no one bothers to add up. Why would anyone pay for this?

This feels no different from regular lobbies, and no one takes it seriously. The only incentive I thought anyone would ever play for was ranks, but even that is poorly designed and flawed with this star system that gives 4-5 stars to players who played that class for 2 lobbies, and 1-3 stars to people who are Platinum/Invite at that class.

This entire idea seems like it is currently flopping, and something needs to change.

this is so dumb. You leave this much power to one guy, he's bound to abuse it and throw it around. Though, this was really in any one's power whom donated a ton of money to the fundraiser, but they chose not to do this. I don't agree with anyone's decision. The decision with the least amount of fuckery/drama would have been to just get over ash's racist remarks.

yeah, the HL lobbies take years to fill and end up blowing. I'm not paying for this, I'm glad we got a beta test-run before they implemented that.
