#27 Introducing PASS Time, a New Beta Game Mode! in News

inb4 server mods to force you into bumper cars

we actually rocket league now

JaegerFYI I'm a programmer for Escalation Studios.

I'm really curious about this actually. What's the development process like? Do Valve just ask for designs, or did they give you direct access to start working on this mode?

#2 Low fps in Q/A Help

Nope, sounds about right.

I'm sorry for saying it, but it really has gotten bad and there's nothing you can do. Laggyness might be from not using fullscreen or by using vsync, but otherwise, that's about average post Mettle.

Oh yeah and don't benchmark on suijin. That map is the worst in the world for performance. Dear lord I get more frames in SFM than I do on suijin. And I don't just mean per second, I mean more frames period.

z77?

by any chance, did you mess with your base clock, if you overclocked?

#2 sticky launcher viewmodel issues - post gunmettle in Videos

well you could temporarily use a mod that removes the old model, since you're just recording a demo

I'd check the gun mettle diff for the exact model path

edit: also fuck tf2 is so broken

here: https://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Template:PatchDiff/July_2,_2015_Patch

new file: tf/tf2_misc_dir.vpk/models/weapons/c_models/c_stickybomb_launcher/c_stickybomb_launcher.*
override with an empty model or really any other small model to erase the new model and just show the old one

#13 Chrome doesn't open in Off Topic
RayinerHerganWhat's keeping you with Chrome so much? If it stops working you can just install a different browser, right?
People stay with Chrome because it has much better extensions support, Flash works out of the box and is a bit faster on some machines.

>extensions support
Firefox has more flexible extensions, and Chrome doesn't actually even work with standard plugins anymore. Java doesn't work in Chrome. Only Flash works because it comes pre-bundled.

#19 Yet another "Should I buy this or this" in Hardware

Sorry man. For what it's worth, I like to think of Retail Edge as Intel trying to apologize for the bullshit retail employees have to go through.

I'll nab whatever the enthusiast processor is at the time of the sale. I was just wondering which it'll be. Probably Skylake and Haswell-E again then.

#17 Yet another "Should I buy this or this" in Hardware

Fact of the matter is, I'll probably be salvaging this build and giving it to my girlfriend rather than selling it off. Plus, DDR4 will be cheaper by the time I'm buying the processor (winter Retail Edge sale). So I might just give her the entire build, minus storage, and build myself something new.

Do you know if Intel is planning on releasing a 6core or 8core i7 variant on an enthusiast platform, like Broadwell-E? Generally in Retail Edge they sell the top of the line 115X processor for $80 and the top of the line enthusiast socket processor for $140 or so. I just don't know if they'll have one in time.

#15 Yet another "Should I buy this or this" in Hardware

1. Sweet, sweet Retail Edge.
2. That's also about the only major issue I could foresee. Having 16GB is pretty essential to me as I'm a heavy multitasker, and having to rebuy 16GB in DDR4 wouldn't be cheap. However there are boards already with DDR3 support. And yes, I'll be able to take advantage of multithreading, I'm a heavy user. I was just asking you in case I forgot something.

#4 motion blur on new monitor in Hardware

Well, both panels have a 5ms response time, and the newer monitor has a higher contrast ratio. Both are TN, so there shouldn't be that drastic of a blur discrepancy.

I'm really not sure. I'll have to look more into it.

#2 motion blur on new monitor in Hardware

Well, to put it simply there are far, far more differences between panels besides just their refresh rate.

Can you tell me what your old and new monitor models are, specifically?

#13 Yet another "Should I buy this or this" in Hardware

Aww c'mon setsul, don't you like explaining hyperthreading and CPU bottlenecks from scratch every thread?

Serious unrelated question though: thoughts on upgrading from a 2500k to a 6700k, assuming the 6700k is $80?

#14 Tournament Respawn GUI Help in Q/A Help
jimfutsuWill try this now, thanks so much! Is there any way I can edit the files to fix this though? Instead of just using the command. Would like to fix this for the future.

Again, if you upload your version for me I'll show you where to edit it. Generally though, you're gunna want to look at resource\ui\HudInspectPanel.res and add "enable" "0" to "itempanel". At least that's where it is in yayahud, the only HUD I have downloaded right now.
