cocoonthis is besides the problem, but type
-windowed -noborder -x 0000 -y 0000 into your launch options.
(insert your resolution in the "0000" space, for example, -x 1680 y-1050).
It'll make alt-tabbing more efficient than it was in fullscreen mode.
this forces vsync which some people might not want
also the command is -window not -windowed turns out valve added like 5 different aliases so they all work, but window was the original
face2faceomniI was under the impression that font sizes were only an issue for Macs because of how Macs render fonts.ive had problems before with font sizes/baselines being different between windows and linux machines, unless i did something horribly wrong last time i got my hands on a windows pc and tested my hud
I'll be home in a few hours and I'll take screenshots of your HUD with plenty of different settings, just in case.
Same here. Generally Windows and Linux HUDs are interchangeable.
JackyLegsthe netgraph issue is caused of some missing lines in the netgraph/cl_showfps section in sourcescheme, here's your lines:
http://pastebin.com/wj2kcufE
here is a fixed one:
http://pastebin.com/0v66Nh85
thanks, I'll merge this into my update
some people have issues with netgraph but I personally don't, it's going to require some investigation
also I'm working on a fairly major update that should hopefully fix any crashing during matchmaking, and will reflect some of the changes made recently (like adding the new report player button)
Max_This is like when Star ran Demoknight in Open or IM what ever it was, it worked because he was carried by 1 Invite player and 2-ex invite players. If Demoknight was more effective than Demoman than you would see top level teams like Ronin, 20b and Froyotech using it
Budsquad at the time was playing in mid-IM and Steven didn't play demoknight for the entire thing, hell most of the time he did it it was just for his single video about it. He was playing scout, solly, and once I casted him playing med on Sunshine.
They tried something out and it was sometimes effective simply because it was different but they actually lost most of the time, he just used the highlights for his video. He played the rest of the season fairly normally.
Getawhale(And before anyone asks, the image I posted was not implying he's retarded, it's implying that rolling CEVO isn't that great of an accomplishment, which is demonstrated by his claim that they rolled it with a questionable class composition. With the exception of a couple really good teams in that league, you might as well say you beat disabled kids.)
maybe this would have fit better
edit: really guys? maybe for those of you who don't understand the context, you might need a little backstory:
the entire episode was about how somebody intentionally handicapped themselves in order to compete with people who weren't up to snuff, and then definitively said that they were better because they won
how does that not perfectly relate to the situation
Enterimweird bug on cp_foundry where the collision for props doesn't work. at first I thought I beefed an RJ as I fell through a heretofore solid roof over mid but then we started building sentries inside crates. that should probably be fixed.
happens on viaduct too, you can sit in the wood plank piles at each spawn
@astrin
Sorry, custom objective icons are not going to be possible for the exact same reason that they don't actually work in rainhud or ahud on most servers. Valve's current custom sv_pure whitelist is as follows:
--------------------------------------------------------
sv_pure: Only allow client to use certain files.
-1 - Do not apply any rules or restrict which files the client may load.
0 - Apply rules in cfg/pure_server_minimal.txt only.
1 - Apply rules in cfg/pure_server_full.txt and then cfg/pure_server_whitelist.txt.
2 - Apply rules in cfg/pure_server_full.txt.
See cfg/pure_server_whitelist_example.txt for more details.
The server is using sv_pure 1. (Custom pure server rules.)

Objective icons are stored in materials\sprites\obj_icons\*, and since materials\* is set to trusted_source, even if I made custom icons and included them, they would only show up on sv_pure 0 servers, or ones that use sv_pure 1 that allow mods. Effectively, they'd only be usable on a few community servers. All competitive servers and Valve servers would block them. It's just not worth my time.
mana pls accept pull request
technically the competitive matchmaking beta isn't a major official update yet, but it adds a whole BOATLOAD of new UI elements that really need to be reflected in the basehud, otherwise we're stuck using shounic's documentation, which frankly can't compare to raw diffs
plus since the game literally breaks without a properly updated HUD i think it's fair to say it's a significant enough update
The real hero in all of this.
I managed to get yayahud working, but the MM-specific stuff looks awful, and this is exactly what I need to fix it.
Does the demo contain any portion of the ready up process?
my favorite youtubers named Delfy
PendjiI'm thinking they're focusing on the basics first, and then easing into it with config editing and what not. The stress test exists for no other reason than to test code and server capacity (I fucking hope).
Been waiting on a dx9 optimization for years now, and I know for a fact I played dx9 on the TF2 Beta when it launched with upwards of 400 constant fps on an outdated pc. Not even unusuals could pull 350 frames out.
They've been restricting configs, yes, but the thing is, I think they're testing out forcing certain values and they must have picked some really horrific ones for this test. It wasn't this bad last time and it's never been this bad for me before, and I have never run an FPS config. On an i5 2500k @ 5GHz and a 970, I shouldn't have 50fps, and I don't when I'm not on a matchmaking server. Even MvM is better.
