it would be really dumb of valve to not make hl3, there is too much potential profit
edit: although they could just release it after a reeeaaally long time.. but the fanbase might have died away by then. literally.

It's gotten to the point where when someone from Valve says they're not working on HL3 makes me believe they're just saying that to make it that much better when it actually comes out.
Also something below that's in relation to #1's post (confirmed fake, which is obvious anyway)
On Greg Coomer's twitter page, his background is this, which with color filtering gives this (the image is basically the particle decay of half life).
My take? He works at Valve and likes the HL series. Could be more to it, but more than likely not.
Valve apparently emailed Geoff Keighley about them having "3" announcements coming soon.
Greg, on Twitter, posted these symbols in this order (three consecutive tweets): O, [O ], O+O
These symbols are found on the /livingroom/ page for Steam's website.
My take again? I don't know what the symbols mean, but it's 95% more than likely only something for this project, if I can call it that. Probably Steam Box (or whatever the name was again) like everyone else is guessing.

I kind of feel like valve has missed their window, unless hl3 will be 100/100 in every possible aspect I think playing and finishing the game is gonna leave you with an unsatisfied, empty feeling.
