Seriously? This game came out and not a single peep from anyone about it?
Who's your best Pokemon in your party? Here's mine:

It also has the hidden ability Pixelate which turns any normal type moves into Fairy type.
Yeah it was traded to me but only for the XP, I traded an Eevee for an Eevee.

College and tf2 stuff has kept me from playing as much as I've wanted to unfortunately, but I'm loving it so far!
Just dl'd pokemon y from the eShop. Add me on steam if you wanna do pokemon stuff!
Anyone know where I can pickup a used/cheap 3DS online? Not worth the $200 for a pokemon machine.
Always wanted a Poison/Dragon. This Dragalgae thing looks like an abortion but I'll take it.
Also, Eviolite Tyrunt is murdering everything horribly, everyone should try it.

Dunno if there is one already, but i started a friend code thread because the friend safari is pretty useful, but relies on you befriending lots of people http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/13191
If anyone wants a Protean Froakie of any nature I can hook you up.
what on earth is a protean froakie, and what does a nature of a pokemon do
I haven't played pokemon since silver/gold (played the sapphire one for like an hour), are they still good? My sister got me a 3DS a couple years ago that I've never really used, should I pick this up???
cyzerwhat on earth is a protean froakie, and what does a nature of a pokemon do
each nature slightly boosts one stat and slightly decreases another, though there are some natures (e.g. serious) that do nothing

Yes, I'd say it's the best since G/S/C.

Protean is a Hidden Ability that changes Froakie's typing to the move you select.

Probably the best one they've made. B/W2 tier story with 70 new pokemon, balance changes, and a brand new graphics system, moving away from just sprites. It's big, too. It took me around 19-24 hours to beat the 2nd gym. Granted, I was catching pokemon, it still has a lot of play value in the story. Less grinding, too.

but are the new pokemen complete autism like they always used to be (garbage bags and shit)
While many will disagree with me, I was not a fan of the game. While I haven't started doing online battles the story mode was just so easy it wasn't rewarding at the end. I beat a gym using my Charizard and using the same attack on every other Pokemon/battles I did in the gym. Also the Elite 4 in this game wasn't challenging considering I beat it in one try. If I remember correctly the other Pokemon games (diamond/pearl the last ones that I played) were harder, especially the Elite 4. In those games beating the game actually meant something, and having all Pokemon faint wasn't as much of a rare occurrence while in Pokemon X I think all my Pokemon were all fainted 1 time throughout the whole game.

No, they weren't.
You were just terrible.

Probably, but still a hard mode or something would be nice to make it more rewarding

2 reasons why it seems/is easier
1. Exp. Share buff (seems easier)
2. Mega Stone's (makes easier)
The only hard games were B/W when you had to fight Legendary, then N, then Ghetsis back to back and the weird level scaling there. R/S had some tough parts, but was overall pretty easy. You can't really make a game like this hard unless they wanted to twist the story (each Gym Leader having at least 1 Mega). I'll get a picture of my roster later.

if you're expecting a challenge ingame then lol
the challenge comes from online battles (where you'll probably get ripped apart by better players if you don't know what you're doing.)

Since I used to play competitive Pokemon and all my EV trained pokemon are in my White. Anyone want to battle soon? http://pokemonshowdown.com/
Could also play do B/W/b2/W2 on Wi-Fi

imo G/S/C are probably the easiest games in the series despite them being my favorite due their absolutely terrible level scaling. HG/SS improved it by some, but not all that much sadly.
Just beat the Elite 4 about an hour or so ago.
Mawile - 68
Charizard - 67
Greninja - 67
Gardevoir - 68
Talonflame - 65 or 66
Glaceon - 64
Overall, I have 50~ hours upon main story completion. From a Pokemon game that had very little grind. I can only imagine what it would have been like with old leveling.
Had fun. First time a common bird starter has been good, imo, first time I used Mawile, first time I've "used" Charizard. Now to spend time some quality time with Mawile and play dress-up.

I loved this game. I loved many of the new streamlining mechanics. I loved the new Pokemon. I loved the megaevolutions. However, I had to be sure to watch all the credits to see who I had to slap for the horrendous plot (Junichi Matsuda). Seriously, the game is now my 3rd favorite in the series, but the plot was TERRIBLE. It was the worst official thing written for Pokemon since Mastermind of the Mirage Pokemon. But not to end on a bad note, the game achieved beauty in so many ways that you could bat an eye from the cringeworthy story.
What's new about leveling?
EXP is no longer split. the EXP share is no longer a held item but an item that can be toggled "on" and "off" in your backpack that gives 50% experience to every Pokemon in your party. Every Pokemon who is sent out to battle even for 1 turn gets 100% experience.
So pretty much in a typical battle you're getting 350% experience assuming you carry 6 unfainted Pokemon.
