this is amazing. bob is great to watch whenever Im down
We didn’t have cable television when I was a kid, so I used to watch The Joy of Painting all the time on PBS. It’s just extremely calming and also really cool to see the paintings he is able to make in such a short amount of time. To this day, if something is stressing me out sometimes I’ll watch an episode of Joy of Painting. I think it’s really cool twitch chose to do this marathon! I hope it introduces a lot of people to the show. c:

This is my first time actually watching a full episode of The Joy of Painting and I must say this is really calming. Nice to have on in the background and listen to.
This is much better than any halloween themed stream they could ever come up with.
There something weird about watching the calm, relaxed Mr. Ross painting beside the hyperactive ADHD 10-year-old that is the twitch chat.
"It's a happy little stone, of course. We don't have any other kind."
there is no human being as gentle as bob ross was

"Ross enlisted in the United States Air Force at age 18 and went on to serve as a medical records technician. He eventually rose to the rank of master sergeant and served as the first sergeant of the U.S. Air Force Clinic at Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska. In Alaska, Ross first saw the snow and mountains that later became recurring themes in his artwork. He developed his quick-painting technique to create art for sale in brief daily work breaks. Having held military positions that required him to be, in his own words, "mean" and "tough", "the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work", Ross decided that if he ever moved on from the military, he would never scream again."

i had a rly bad day today and this really helped me relax and feel better
Thie was a surprise, I remember watching the show on PBS as a kid. I always loved how at the end of each episode he'd wish you good luck and god bless. It really makes me feel like I can do something good today and makes me happy to be able to hear his encouragement. Even if I don't believe in myself Bob Ross believes in me.
ggs being called in chat at the end of the episode rofl
