a team has to be forward about it first otherwise how is anyone supposed to know who to give donations to

there were at least 2 invite teams that asked for several hundreds of dollars combined last season and as far as I know they got every penny they needed

EDIT: it was 3 invite teams that got almost $1000 combined within the span of 1 month; 2 fundraisers received $255 each the same day they were posted to tf.tv

I'd need to discuss this more with my team but if we all had our payments funded, then we might be willing to play. Even then there's the problem of convincing everyone that a season of getting 5-0d by every team in 20 minutes or less is helping us improve or is somehow fun. It's all a big hypothetical because I'm 100% sure my team would not play unless all of our fees were paid for.

Maybe not all but there are some teams that can at least do well enough to make an impact and keep the divisions split. also who says you can't have fun playing with the best even when getting owned.

EDIT: One thing that really urks me is if you win IM, please play invite next season... really pisses me off that teams only win IM and just don't try invite right after. I can understand if life is in the way, but if you play IM right after or just don't play invite just cause you don't feel like it. just fuck off idk quit just going the easy way, no one stays in college league level forever, they try to go for the pro level (yes i understand that these are two different things, but the principles should remain. if you play something competitively you (should) try to be the best.
