Hey Guys,
On July 10th we hit a player record with a whopping 253,225 peak player count. Considering how Team Fortress 2 has been on a steady rise in players for the last few years it seems that we are doing better than ever in terms of the longevity of the game.

While I won't try to sell the idea that Team Fortress 2 will get a Source 2 port, it's not entirely off the table either.
If you've been following Valve for a while you can almost sniff out that they've been leaving small delicious cheese crumb trails for us to follow,...but I won't get too into that right now..
How can we transform these numbers for a push for Valve to stop ignoring the competitive scene of the game and perhaps even listening to us for feedback in case there is a Source 2 Port?
What are some things you'd askValve to do for a Source 2 port? I would want an update to the default settings and maybe modernise the hud a little bit..its rough in some spots lol.
Also I was playing a pub today on the payload map phoenix and had a ton of fun using the little water at spawn to rocket jump greater distances and I was thinking of how epic it would be if a 5cp map was built and balanced around that,has there been any map like that already? It would be awesome to get to play that map.
Has any mapper ever gotten a map into a league and they had exploits that only they knew about and abused? Might get into mapping.
Anyways would love to hear your thoughts on this!

I remember playing a map that had water under some bridge that you could use and it was pretty cool but it was just some unfinished beta map that was played when lucrative was doing his test map pugs years ago I don't know if it ever got finished and I don't remember the name sadly

The numbers have everything to do with the summer update and nothing to do with competitive TF2. Not sure how one can make the leap to say Valve should invest anything into competitive (using these numbers). We've reached the point where the competitive community needs to grow the scene by themselves to make it worthwhile for Valve to think about us.

For Source 2 I would like to see The Family Business on engineer. (and pyro for that matter.) It's pretty embarrassing for Valve that they didn't release the weapon on all classes that use the shotgun.
