Hey TheVillageIdiot.

I wanted to say thank you for coming here and talking about her. I was never fortunate enough to meet Lain in this lifetime, but I hope to in the next. I am so sorry for your loss and the way some of this community treated your sister.

I have one request from you: If you have access to your sister's Steam account, could you change her nickname? She set it to "worthless dead human" before she passed, and I don't think she was worthless, and I know a lot of people here don't. She was worth a lot, and I think her username should reflect that. Just RainOfLight or Lain or anything else would be lovely.

Again, im so sorry for your loss. I hope she can rest in peace now. </3.

I didn’t know RainofLight exceptionally well, but in such a small community, it’s impossible not to rub shoulders with someone as frequently present as her.

I too was a Portland Burnsider who wanted to die, at the same age even. I was lucky enough to have people in this community reach out to me when I was feeling particularly vulnerable. I remember eXtine calling me to make sure I was okay. When you’re losing a war within your own mind, those moments matter, and I don’t know if I’d be here today if it weren’t for the support given by parts of this community.

I’m very sorry to see another one of us pass, and most of all, I’m sad I wasn’t the helping hand that I once received.

Rest in peace.

I did not know her very well, but I'm one of those people who basically remembers nearly every random person they've seen around in this community and RainofLight was more notable than most, so to see a member pass in this way is very disheartening. My condolences to her friends and family.

It took me a long time to put together the thoughts I had in my head when I heard you had passed away. I will always cherish the time we spent together rain. Just chilling getting starbucks at target and wandering around, or staying up late watching all of serial experiments lain, or playing pubs and pugs together. I saw you falling apart, but I didn't know what to do except distance myself... I'm sorry.

TheVillageIdiot, you had an amazing brother, it's awful losing someone you care for and I wish you all the best in your life.

I'm not sure if I will be able to access the account, but we're still sorting through things. I was able to gain access to her laptop, but couldn't spend much time in there. I do think it would be proper if I can.
