Someone got screwed over the internet, he claims Illuminati rigged it and just said f it. Hope you get what Zak promised you Relic. In situations like this you should probably come up with a contract when it comes to stuff like a prize or promised compensation to lan. Just my two cents of course, instead of his given word or promise.

I'm sorry Relic, I have done this thing to you. I cannot offer you a new computer, but I can tell you that I have suffered as well.

Rarely if ever have I enjoyed a peaceful night's sleep since I made that post. I am afflicted with the most hideous nightmares that have made such a tremendous impact on my psyche that even the mere thought of sleep sends shivers down my spine and creates a profound and indescribable sense of dread in me. Also, food turns to ash in my mouth and everything I touch withers and dies.

I know I can never atone for my sins, but perhaps my fate can serve as a warning to others. DON'T BE LIKE ME!!!! If you make a joke about a subject as solemn and serious as the the results of a charity raffle then you'd better be prepared for the consequences.

I really have to ask though, why isn't stuff like this aired out immediately? It seems like whenever someone gets scammed in this community (save the foreign 13 year olds trading hats) it takes months before the community is ever notified of it. I know there's an impulse to cut someone slack, but in most situations it seems pretty clear what the other person's intentions are.

Blackfoger sponsored Blight. When Blight got to LAN, the card he gave Smaka didn't work, so Smaka paid personally. Blackfoger made a lot of excuses, but has been very slowly paying Smaka back (with breaks in payments).

Because everyone wants it to work out. Look at this thread, you have people saying, "I played with those guys, they seemed like cool dudes, I can't believe they would do this", we are a small community, nobody wants to be the one to sya, "Hey, you know ____________? What's up with his shadiness?"

Only thing is that Zakrill put 5 years and 1,738.9 hrs into the game. Not to say 1.7k is a lot, just seems weird that he would waste 1.7k hours playing tf2 to screw people over. Fyi, I've never met/talked to the guy.

Zak has come off as a bro since I met him at the start of the .WHALE. He's helped teams out in the past, helped out eXtine a bit unless I'm mistaken, and asked for no recognition. I bought some parts off of him, and have no complaints at all about that.

The only reasonable explanation I can think of is a bad financial situation that he doesn't want to admit to, which is still really shitty.

The only interaction I had with Zak was buying a new DeathAdder when he was doing the auction for hardware. I never received it, but when I told him he said he sent me another one right away, and that one actually got to me. I don't know if he actually sent the first one (I've always assumed he did, I even offered to pay for shipping on the second one around and he wouldn't let me) but like other people have said, this seems pretty out-of-character.

He could have been playing the long con, but considering how many other deals he's #closed on that were more than generous, I'd imagine that even if he did take all the money for himself, he only broke even in terms of money donated to TF2.

EDIT: I guess my point is that, to me, there's probably a damn good reason he hasn't been around, but worst case is that all of the money he's put into TF2 was reimbursed by us suckers.

Zak had a good track record and none of us wanted to think the worst of it since he had been so helpful with our team and the past teams he had dealt with. We didnt ask him to sponsor our team directly, he came out and offered it. Same with the raffling of the computer. After the lan was over and done with, he offered to sponsor us again next season. This is why I didnt think anything of it at the time. I think boomer mentioned something about him having family issues. I'm not really sure of the details, but he never directly spoke to me about it or messaged me back with any information on what was happening so i can't really say.

He paid me $29 in 2012, leaving the amount he owes me at around $2330. I'll never see it, but at least he's stopped trying to screw other people over in the community.
