Not sure if anyone made this thread already but what are your mice and what do you think is best for gaming? I personally don't have an opinion and i want to get one over the summer. I've heard about the g-series mice being good and some others.
I usually say the G400 is the best but even it has some problems. I play at ultra-low sens (raw mouse input, 400 dpi), and sometimes when I do a fast flick for a rocket jump it will spaz out. I don't know if its just my mouse or what but I don't know a better one offhand unfortunately.
I'd be open for suggestions of mice that work perfectly on quick movements on ultra-low sens.

that gives me a lot of info on mice to pick hooli thanks. do you have any personal experience with any of those mice?
Hmm i hope it's your own mouse because I keep hearing great things about the g400 and i might want to pick one up. I don't play with ultra-low sens though. 5-6in./360
Do you guys think the g400 is the best out of the g-series for gaming?

yeah, i have used a g700, and a g9x.
g700 is trash.
basically the g400 is a really solid and reliable mouse, pretty cheap too.
alot of people stand by their deathadder and the sensei seems like a great choice, those were pretty much my choices when buying my new mouse, i went with the g400 it's great.
also the software is so muccch better than setpoint which is what the g700 and g500 use

something comfortable.
g400 has cable issues, so prepare to RMA.
Deathadder too has problems, mouse feet too thin, switches wear out fast

I've had mine since November, I think you got unlucky. Definitely have not seen anything like that and I spaz my mouse out like all the time.

I don't think there's another mouse (in production) that should be considered, if only because it's an optical mouse (unaware of other mice). If not, I've heard good things about the G9 and G500 series mice, but I don't know much about them.

It's the best so far. From what I've heard the MX518 is more reliable (doesn't have a terrible cord that wears out and causes it to disconnect randomly, doesn't have prediction issues on early models), but it also has a bit of positive accel or something? Overall Logitech definitely wins as far as support goes. As long as you have the serial number you can call them up and get free replacements shipped to you.
As for personal experience with the flawless sensor mice;
1. Abyssus - Good claw grip mouse with a good sensor. Lift off distance is a tad high but not a huge problem. The shape is very very small though and if you are used to palm grip you won't like this mouse at all.
2. Microsoft mice - All of them are fantastic but they're also low DPI and the buttons feel cheap, especially the side buttons.
3. Deathadder - Another really good mouse but it's very hit or miss as far as the shape goes, it's also a tad spendy. I really like it, you may not. See if you can find one to feel up before buying it online.

g400 or zowie mice
literally any zowie mouse
they all use the same sensor (so long as you get the eVo of the EC1 or EC2)
would recommend

I'm using a zowie eVo, which came out after this article.
Seems to not have the same problems as the other mice by them, and I've enjoyed it for the past 4 months.

I've used many mice over the years. Not ranked in any particular order:
1. Razer Deathadder - The go to mouse for many people. I liked the feel of it personally, but every single one I've had has gotten a messed up scroll wheel. I've used an old one, a Black edition, and the new one.
2. Logitech G7 or G5 - Another standard mouse. I liked using it, one of my favorite mice. Only complaint is that it feels somewhat cheap because of the plastic. Overally a good mouse though.
3. Razer Lachesis - The claw to the Deathadder's palm. Very solid mouse, I used it for a while, but found it was a bit small for my hand. The one Razer mouse I've had that the scroll wheel has not shit out.
4. Razer Mamba - The wireless Deathadder. Scroll wheel also shat out. Always ended up using it wired unless I wanted to look edgy by mounting it on the trophy style charging stand.
5. Microsoft IME 3.0 - The "best mouse." I didn't like it too much. Whatever floats your boat I guess. Low sens + low shape = Panzer don't like
6. Corsair M60 or M65 - The best mouse I've ever used. Super solid Corsair quality, great weight (customizable) and great shape and features. I recommend this or the M90 to anyone looking for a mouse. Corsair is really stepping up! You can either palm or claw this mouse comfortably.
7. Roccat Savu - Roccat's fairly new, but I'd say that if you like Razer's look but want better quality Roccat's the way to go. I scored one of these mice at PAX and tried it out, I liked it. If it wasn't for my baby the Corsair M65 I might use it more.
8. CM Storm Inferno - Hated the shape, lent it to a friend though. If the shape fits your needs then it's a great mouse in every other way.
EDIT: 9. Logitech MX518 - I completely forgot about this mouse, I used it for a while after my G5 broke. Almost identical in feel to the G5, it's a great mouse, solid, standard palm mouse.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for all the feedback I'm still unsure whether to try other ones first or to go straight for the g400. I'm gonna research some more of the ones you listed panzer because you have more experience with mice and I trust your opinion isn't influenced from just one mouse :P
Yeah let me know if you want some more specific information!
I was prepared to write down like three mice but then the reality of how many I've used hit me lol.
I actually have the Savu and a DA (new ed) still in box over my head on a shelf from PAX lol.
Edit: I use around a 13-14 inches per 360. Mousepads I've used include the Razer Goliathus, Steelseries QcK+, and a weird hard pad. Definitely go soft pad btw :P

yeah i've been using the same cloth soft pad for god knows how many years. I don't like the feel of hard pads. Okay thanks
Yeah hard pads = worn out mouse feet, especially metal ones.
Honestly, I have never seen a reason to even use a mouse pad. Not trying to troll or anything, my desk (Which is a glossed interior door) gives me what appears to be perfect friction/response. Although, until very recently I've been using a shitty korean mouse that came with an old Dell tower 5 years ago, so what do I know. Also, g400 has a shitty cord, so be prepared to RMA it 3 times to get a good one. They're cheap as hell now, though, with the new series coming out.
had a deathadder before, quiet liked it, but then it broke, im now on my second g500 same as the g400 it has a shitty cord, but nothing but a little ducktape to prevent it from ripping again
DeathAdder is a good choice in my opinion :3 Regular deathAdder is more updated so better than 2013 imo
I got a Steelseries Sensei about 6 months ago and i must say i've been loving it. It's pretty pricey but the customization is unlike any other mouse on the market. I haven't run into any bugs either which is good

Stay away from the Roccat Savu. I dont know how Roccat screwed up such a good sensor but it skips easily on alot of pads including the qck.

Whats so good about the g400? Looks uncomfortable AF.
I've been using the g500 for a while now, and no complaints whatsoever. My first one broke (scroll wheel was stuck or something), and I sent it in to logitech and got a new one for free within a week.
The new Logitech G series are supposed to be released this month, I'm curious to see if the G500s has a perfected sensor or not

Didn't know that. I only played around with it for a few hours, not an extended amount of time. Good to know!
