for medic, how exactly can I remove the building rate that is attached with my cross hair? and I am in fact using 7hud

also idk if it is just 7hud, but I did notice that recently in match demos that the ready-up bar would stick around after the game starts, I could not figure out how to get rid of it for the life of me, this would only happen after in the demos. I wasn't sure if the last hud update posted a few days ago fixed this?

This might have already been asked but I'd like to know if it would be possible to change the item menu background to become the main menu background. Currently using sunsetdark and I have the sunset menu animation, but I don't like how it changes to the blurry original background of sunsetdark when I go look at my items. At worst, if it's possible to just change it to a solid color, that would work too.

I heard that custom vtfs can be used on pure servers when placed in vgui/replays/thumbnails, with vmts located in the correct location with preloading. However, this doesn't seem to work for me even on sv_pure 0 unless I place the materials folder in tf/custom/hudname rather than just tf/ which makes the texture not viewable in sv_pure 2.

Secondly, the same textures aren't working at all for another hud element, which I assume is because there are some other textures that element is checking for in addition to the ones I have (or perhaps because there's some kind of dynamic loading going on? Not sure). Is there any easy way of looking at the list of textures a hud element is looking for/using? vgui_drawtree 1 doesn't seem to do it for the particular element I'm looking at, and checking "show hidden" crashes my game.

Does anyone know how huds scale with resolution? My native monitor resolution is 1920 x 1080 and I really like how m0rehud looks when using 2560 x 1440 (with fonts looking a lot smaller than in native res). Is there an exact way to measure/convert font sizes from 2560 to 1920? I don't know if using a res higher than mine will decrease overall fps + I'd rather stay at native and avoid this and tabbing out issues.

You can't enable that, reason being if you were able to enable it i'm pretty sure you would be able to see the enemy uber so they went for the easy way and just disabled it.
To me it seems like the code for chargeammount is there simply because they copied and pasted it from the spectatortournament.

I recently started using lansky's oxide hud: https://github.com/Hypnootize/Lanskys-Oxide and i noticed there is hud crosshair fonts in the hud files, but i dont see a corresponding crosshairs file in the scripts / crosshairs section in the hudlayout file. is there a way i can access the hud crosshairs of this hud?

hello! i'm using ahud (https://huds.tf/forum/showthread.php?tid=191) and i can't get the chat box to stick at the top left or bottom left corner. i tried using the customization files provided in the hud (a modified basechat.res) and editing the basechat file myself to little use. i could save the changes to the file, reload the hud and the chat box would be where i wanted it to, but dying, changing teams, joining another server and changing maps would reset its position to the "default".

Those are both particle effects, they are not related to the hud and cannot be removed/edited/modified using hud files. To remove those effects, you would have to edit either particles_manifest.txt, or the pcf files themselves, both of which will not work in (nearly all) pure servers.

So I am using sunset HUD and I wanted to know if they is any way to move my metal closer to the center of the skin since right now it seems to just cut off if i move it any closer towards the middle. I don't know if i am doing things wrong by editing with the HudAccountPanel.

You need to move the parent hud element in scripts/hudlayout.res. Change the ypos of HudAccountPanel in there to move the metal count easier.

Hello! I need some help modifying the LoadingDialog, present when you load into a match

The file I am editing should be resource/loadingdialognobanner.res
My end goal is to extend this to the full width, make the background transparent, and make the progress bar a continuous green.

My questions are:
1) How do I make the background transparent?
I've tried to set bgcolor_override on the main frame, and creating a new hidden block LoadingDialogBG based on a quick look of the leaked source code, like this
