I know. I just thought it'd make the RSS feed more visible. P.S Do TF2 and Minecraft work with symlinks… like at all?

Idk why i get awful stutters on mastercomfig after a couple of launches, but if i reinstall (delete cache etc.) it it would run smooth.

AimIsADickOh and btw @turbochad69 cl_threaded_bone_setup doesn't exist in TF2 with the -dev launch op, so it's been removed.
Hate to keep this going, but no, it has not been removed. You nearly always have no idea what you're talking about whatsoever.

I get that, but I also like to do everything I can to curb misinformation so anyone reading in the future is not mislead. This is my last post about it, won't shit up the thread any more.

Like as if both of you know anything about this argument anyway. cl_threaded_bone_setup isn't even listed in cvarlist anymore.
@mastercoms has this cvar been removed?
EDIT: cl_threaded_bone_setup can be found in tf/bin/client.dll, but this doesn't mean it hadn't got removed in a sense, and even if it "technically" still exists, the point is that its been hidden so you should stop telling me to do anythting with that cvar.

It's still used in the current game exactly the same way it was previously: https://i.imgur.com/ndooak3.png Only difference is you can't set many things with stuffcmds that you used to be able to, but nothing has changed with cl_threaded_bone_setup.
I'm sorry for 'telling you' to disable some of the threading settings, it was simply a suggestion for something to try. I also had a crash after updating mastercomfig and happened to have some of those enabled. I thought it may be possible that the io/loading changes from the latest mastercomfig could conflict with one of them, but it was merely a guess.

Does TF2 work with symlinks made with the mklink command on windows 10? Because I cannot get symlinks to work with TF2 for the (my) life of me.

Debugging this issue further, the stock VPKs TF2 comes with load in fine. The main issue at hand is that everytime I try to launch a map, it crashes the game with a segmentation fault error.

That's strange, could you list everything you do explicitly to reinstall?

Yes, I delete the vpks, specifically the low preset vpk and the corresponding cache file (which might be redundant). Then I put the low vpk back. It would run smooth for the first time, but then the stuttering resurfaces.

I played TF2 yesterday with the latest commit of mastercomfig from github, and I noticed some shadows were heavily pixelated. Is this normal for my modules.cfg?

For starters what is your environment (settings, mods (including config), OS, and hardware) when you had this issue?

it's probably the changes from 9.3.2. if you don't mind it, ignore it, if you do, set mat_filterlightmaps to 1 and clear mastercomfig's lightmaps_override alias to avoid needlessly toggling it

Oh. I really don't mind about the pixelated shadows that much, so I'll just leave the lightmaps alone. Well thank you for clarifying!

Like as if finding the preferred linux distro is a pain in the enough, imagine not being able to get better hardware due to laziness.

The site redesign is pretty good. Only issue is that the download link to the development build gives a 404 error for me.

I don't know why post above me is downfragged. Dev builds downloads are broken because the CI only produces one artifact named mastercomfig.zip and this does not follow hardcoded name scheme of vpks that are released each update.
