Has anyone played on a 6s team while in medical school? Just wondering if it is possible
I'm sure its possible but staying in 3-5 nights a week for scheduled gaming would probably get in the way of your social life (hard to study, scrim, and go out)
trelan played HL while being in medical school i think
I played a season while in nursing school and it was okay but as I kept moving forward i couldnt do it anymore. Scrimming til midnight and waking up at 4am for clinicals was bad vibes
I played a few seasons while I was in pharmacy school. It was mostly manageable, but I also played on teams with very relaxed scrim schedules and even then had to make pretty significant sacrifices to other parts of my life to make it work. I definitely was not able to continue during clinicals though
Sideshow got kicked out of Med School, while he was playing tf2
Came 3rd in open whilst doing my level 2 btec bricklaying course

dave_ is a surgeon now, that being said i am pretty sure he dropped tf2
not tf2, but melee players llod and prince abu are or were in medical school while competing at a top level
pretty sure funs was playing tf2 while in medical school
When I was doing my MD/MPH I wasn't playing TF2 at the time, but I was still a pretty active gamer. I was spending a few hours each day playing halo and black ops 1 prior to starting my degree, but once I started I noticed I started playing less each day. BOPs 2 came out a few months after my first semester so I remember wanting to spend more time playing it but I struggled to manage the workload while also playing games for several hours each day. However, by the end of my 2nd year, I noticed I was able to manage the workload and play games much more effectively, I grinded to platinum in league play by playing a few hours each day. So it certainly is possible to commit to 6s every night while also balancing school but it really is on a person-to-person basis. Someone who isn't a morning person or who likes to do labs or work in the evenings might struggle to balance the workload with games, but it can be done.
