An interesting rematch despite them just facing last week on Clearcut. This decides the 1st seed for playoffs, and join Wild_Rumpus and mocha as we take you through a barnburner!

I think multiple other teams died midseason so that could be why

I can only recall this happening in Advanced when both of the teams have played every other team in the division and there are no other options because of dead teams. (Neither team qualifies for this in Main this season)
This looks like a scheduling error and they should not have been scheduled to play each other twice in the same regular season. (Ultimately this error could have playoff seeding implications if the right teams win/lose their remaining matches.)

I asked reno about it (div admin) and apparently, it's an algorithm error or something with the program they used. Seeing as there is no actual reason to change it, beyond "wah I can't play against a 3-13 team anymore", the matches aren't being changed.

It's for seeding in playoffs because both teams are 13-1. At least that's how it is in advanced

they could go off of tiebreakers like RW% or head2head like theyve done before
it would make sense to make bubble teams play eachother but it doesnt rly feel like #1 vs #2 seed is a big enough deal to force a rematch

im a big fan of rematches for top and bottom teams in the last 2-4 weeks in general but to only have one seems like an obvious bug

as of today cat noises have played as many matches against bubble or higher teams as Chickenheads did, who died after week 4
they will not have faced 3 of their 4 fellow bubble teams because they have to cram in 2 matches vs top 6 teams this week
