I'm using the Logitech G PRO Superlight. I've been having an issue with my game where the sensitivity will randomly change mid game. It only ever becomes faster and the number in-game doesn't literally change. My sensitivity will feel faster to varying degrees - the speedup is never consistent. The weird thing is that doing a 360 when the mouse starts being like this is the same as doing a 360 when my mouse feels normal but doing smaller movements like micro-adjustments and mid-range tracking feels a lot faster which makes it a lot more difficult to control. Usually, the game starts feeling fine but at a random time during the match my sensitivity will go between feeling normal and feeling fast and slippery like what I've described earlier. I've only noticed the issue while playing on online servers. It never happens offline on maps like tr_newbots.
At first, this issue occurred while I was using my old Superlight. I bought a brand new one but the issue still persists. I've also replicated this issue on an older, different model of mouse (Logitech G403) which makes me think it's not the mouse itself. The issue happens in CS:GO as well as TF2.
I've tried many things to fix this issue but to name a few:
- Fresh Windows install
- Fresh TF2 install - following mastercoms guide to a fresh install along with a new config and hud
- Playing with and without Logitech G HUB - currently using Logitech On-Board Memory Manager only to make my mouse remember my DPI
- Different polling rates and DPIs
- Playing with the mouse wired
- Using different USB ports
- Made sure raw input and other sensitivity altering commands are all set to what they should be
- Turned off Enhance Pointer Precision in Windows settings
Does anyone have any idea as to what could be the cause of this issue? All suggestions are appreciated.

have u tried plugging in some shitty mouse and seeing if it has the same issue
make sure u dont have any dpi changing keys on ur mouse

Yeah, the G403 I replicated the issue with was pretty old.
I've made sure that all DPI changing keys are disabled.

The unity editor running in the background would affect (double?) my tf2 sens on windows 10, maybe its a background application

Just thinking out loud here so sorry if this doesn't help.
So it sounds like you can safely assume that it's software or hardware related, as in it's a Windows problem, or one or more applications running on Windows.
I was going to wonder if the USB port(s) was bad, until I read that it only happens when you're playing online.
And you're 100% certain about that?
If so, to me the only logical conclusion would be something network related causing your FPS to drop which could be perceived as a mouse issue. Can you try using net_graph 3 to monitor your network status while you play tf2? If choke/loss increase at the same time the mouse issue happens, that could be it.

This may be completely unrelated since you already mentioned how extensively you tested it but:
I had pretty much the exact same issue where my mouse would seem to randomly change sensitivity mid game. Figured out it was only happening when I was scrimming and narrowed it down to mumble being the issue.
For some weird reason my client was outdated and was causing the problem, found some github threads talking about it messing up some of the windows settings on older versions (I don't remember specifics).
Updating it fixed 2 weeks of pain.

I thought I was going crazy. I have the same issue, I also recently started using my logitech G600.
I assumed it had mouse acceleration by default but that doesn't seem to be the case. It's a fresh mouse and my drivers are updated too. I'm starting to think it might be a problem with the newer logitech mice and the source 1 engine since I haven't had this issue with source2 so far.

I see. I'll try playing with the most minimal setup possible.
crespiAnd you're 100% certain about that?
Yeah I am. Tried playing Quake Live LG duels yesterday too and the mouse issue didn't happen. Although it's hard to confirm 100%, the issue only seems to be present in CS:GO and TF2.

It's difficult to get a good recording of this issue but I will try to capture it with net_graph on.

Unfortunately, I've replicated the issue with Mumble off but I haven't tried playing with Discord off as well so I'll try that. I'll also make sure my mumble client is up to date.

Yeah it's a very frustrating issue to have but there has to be a way to solve it since so many people use Logitech mice in CS and TF2 without these issues.

Maybe trying disabling all overlays and see if that fixes anything (Mumble, Discord, Shadowplay). It could also be something weird going on with the windows game mode/xbox game bar.
I would try to also limit the amount of background applications running that could possibly affect tf2 performance.
Try running tf2/mouse software as an admin.
I had an unrelated issue with a different mouse and that was resolved by installing an earlier version of the driver so maybe that could help.
It could also be a hardware issue with Logitech mice. I'm not sure if Logitech programs have it but some mouse software has a built in sensor check to see how well your sensor is reading the surface. In general maybe some dust or something is messing with the sensor.
This is probably in no way the issue but a good check anyway - for some reason the game auto binds alt as a key that allows you to hold it down and walk with the mouse. I had a previous issue with my mouse because my alt key was getting stuck down so my mouse would randomly stop sometimes.
Another possible issue which is probably unlikely could be some weird electrical interference going on. It could be affecting the mouse signals. Even if its wired, the mouse might still have issues from interference unless it has one of these on it

Quick Necro to ask to whoever has had this issue, including Mark; what resolution do you play on and is it native
I usually play on 16:10, 1440x900p but I decided to just try and see if playing on my native 1080p resolution would make a difference. I've only tested this via 2 scrims and so far it hasn't triggered yet.

Do you use overwolf by chance? i know for sure people have said that is the cause of randomly changing sensitivities in cs2
