My g400 literally just broke after lan ended, logitech hasn't responded to my support ticket even though its been 3 days and they said "Expect a response within 48 hours!"

When my mx518 broke, it took a week before I got a response. Then it took about a day between each response. Pretty annoying stuff.

Try calling them on the phone. Initially it's automated to send you to right section but eventually you get to talk to an actual person about it.

Weird, I've never had these issues. I've used this style of mouse since the original MX510 launch. I've only bought the mouse twice, yet I've had at least 6 because they're so easy to return when defective. I just call once, get to a person, tell them my problem, give them the numbers and my address, and they send a replacement the same day.
The "worst" experience I've had with Logitech support is when they asked me to send the mouse in. I told them I can't ,its the only mouse I have, even if it is currently defective. They said OK, and sent the replacement anyway. Thats seriously my "worst" complaint so far.

Holy shit the g300 is an awful mouse. You can't press any of the invasive side buttons without fully taking your fingers off of the main buttons, and you have to arch your fingers to push one at a time. The buttons behind the mouse wheel are really annoying to reach, and the wheel itself doesn't click at all. The only upside is the quality of the feet, very nice.
Mu g400 is dying of cord problems. What's the chance of it being replaced with a g400s?

You just need to be a little persuasive.

while its nice that they respond pretty quickly, and nicely, the broken english frightens me
lol damn hooli that's some good persuading. Are you really a competitive cs player?
I just got my new g400s last night, nothing is different except for the cool graphics on the mouse.
I got my g400 today. Oh my god it feels amazing! It is so much better than my previous small mouse. I can't tell you how happy i am haha hopefully this one doesn't break but if it does i'll try to get a g400s instead.
I called in again after my 3rd G400 got the same connection problems, and this time Customer Support demanded that I send in all of them for inspection. They said they couldn't send me a replacement mouse until the inspection process was complete. The cord issues really do break what was a fantastic mouse, so in the end I gave up and ordered a Zowie FK yesterday.
So my mom broke my g400 on accident and i'm still upset about it but i have a 1 year extended warranty from newegg and when i emailed logitech about replacing it they said i have to send them the warranty via email or fax it? How am i supposed to do this? I purchased a warranty but i don't have a warranty document or anything that was shipped to me and i don't know what i'm supposed to do with it online (it just shows that i bought it on newegg) I'd really appreciate it if someone helped me. I didn't want to create a new thread because this doesn't seem hard it's just i'm not very experienced with this sort of stuff. Again, thanks if anyone answers.
My G400 just broke even though I had the cable taped up to relieve strain. It was a replacement for an MX518 I bought in 2011. We'll see if Logitech EU are as helpful in getting a G400S.
Regarding your question I inform you that you are going to receive the G400.
Guess the Euro Logitech hasn't run out of the G400 yet. Suits me.

Well, a month of pestering Logitech with emails later, I finally received notice of shipment:
1 ¦ G400s OPTICAL GAMING MOUSE,EWR2
Perhaps they had run out of the G400 after all.

Also, is the g300 any good? Looks kind of small from the pictures, but at least it's wired.
I have one, it's alright. I kinda wish some of the macro buttons were on the actual side of the mouse as it's pretty hard to use any of them in an FPS with the grip I use (fine in an MMORPG or DotAlike though), but otherwise I've had no problems and it is really responsive for me so idk.
(keep in mind I've basically never had the chance to use any of the mice that most people swear by though)

does anyone whose g400 broke due to the cord use a mouse bungee?
i've had my g400 since launch and haven't had a problem yet
i even bought 5 spares when they went on sale because i got paranoid that mine was due to break any day now
i'm just really curious, because people like asianriceguy (post 50) claim they went through 3 of these mice, which makes me wonder how the cord keeps breaking

Probably due to poor care or something. If anything it's pretty fragile I guess. But mine has been fine for months now and I only put a stack of index cards on it :P

I had massive problems with the G400. The first one i got only lasted 4 weeks, the second one about 6 months and the third one died just yesterday during a scrim. Replaced the wire with the one from my old MX518 and it's working for now and hopefully a while longer.
Just bad luck i guess, my old MX518 lasted nearly 4 years
