Hey everyone,
Noona's recent thread (http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/7964-your-biggest-regrets) was making me feel pretty down, so I decided to make this thread in response. As always, I apologize if this has already been done before.
What is your proudest moment? It can either be TF2-related or not. When have you felt that you really achieved something wonderful in your life?
For me, I am always proud when I make a visible improvement in what I've been working on. For TF2, that involves completing difficult jump maps and surf maps – and then applying it in games. Especially satisfying is flying through the air, when I'm the last one up, and dropping the enemy medic with two gorgeous rockets (doesn't happen much, but when it does, it feels good). Outside of video games, I'd have to say I'm proudest when I make improvements in school. A really good test or essay can make me feel really good about myself.

Mine is taking first in silver HL with a team i built up at the start of the season. And it was against the team that knocked us into lower bracket.

Getting accepted into the Digital Animation program at Cap Uni. As opposed to most other 3D related courses that cost something stupid like 25 grand, Cap doesn't just take anyone who can pay, so you need a good portfolio to get in.
For gaming..ummm...winning a bunch of TF2 posters in the PUG.NA draft cup I guess (even though I got carried).

Not really "proud" moments, more like extreme luck.
Was taking an English class a few years ago in college and wasn't reading any of the material. End of the semester, there were only about 5 people left in my class who hadn't dropped out already. I figured I was failing since I missed assignments, never read any of the books (fucking English classes always choose the worst books to read) and hadn't studied for the final. I figured I would just stop showing up, not take the final, and get the F that I was destined for.
When the grades for that semester came back I got a C in the class.
Few years later I was taking a networking class just for the heck of it. The teacher said that in order to move on to the next class there was a practical test thing we had to take. I wasn't planning on taking the more advanced classes, so I skipped it. When grades came out I had an F because I didn't take the test. I emailed the teacher about it a few months (yes, MONTHS) later about it and he sent me the test that I could take myself and send back. I got about 1/3 of the way through it when I got stuck, gave up, and sent it back. When the revised grades came out I got another C.

Last year my "soccer" team was in the final of some stupid cup.

held 2 shots out of the goal which made us the champions, was pretty good.

I did a study abroad program in London in fall 2011. I joined a random football (soccer) club the first week I was there. They had 8 teams in the club ranked from best to worst and they played in different leagues based on how good they were. I was put on the 6th team because I was new, and I wasn't even starting. The first game I came on with about 20 minutes left, tied the game, then won it 5 minutes later. I scored at least one goal every week and worked my way up to the second team by the time I left.
This Jamaican guy I played with told me on the last day, "When I heard they were putting an American on my team I was really annoyed, but you're actually quite good."

In real life, basically whenever I give a speech or presentation, I love being in front of people and working a crowd.
In tf2, probably when I made IM and a random UGC player asked for me to sign his needle gun lol.

Almost winning Junior Nationals in volleyball with my club in Dallas last year. To put it in perspective it basically like LAN for volleyball and we got 3rd out of 60+ teams from all over the world. This is probably be my proudest moment for awhile.

Marxist sign my needle gun. Thanks. :)
But my IRL proudest moment was when I walked down that stage at my university holding my ECE diploma. (Saddest part was my parents did not wake up early enough to watch me walk. :< But I'll force them to come when I get my master's later on. muhahahahahahhahahahahhaha)
My gaming proudest moments are when I do really gay things and get away with it (predict opposing team behavior and prepare my team to counter it), then proceed to laugh maniacally through speech activation in mumble. Watch for me to do it multiple times while I stream... rofl! 8D

My mom constantly puts me down and says I'm going to fail in life and shit, probably because shes mad at herself for not going to college and stuff.
- I have a 3.82 GPA
- I got accepted into the best engineering school in my state
- I've never smoked weed or been drunk
I guess those are good things, but over the years I really lost the ability to feel proud of myself, since when I do something good, it immediately gets dismissed by my family.

I guess my A Level results (A* A* A A) in subjects all on the oxbridge hard subjects list, though that would be topped if I get a first in my degree (outside possibility).
Other than that, playing with a professional orchestra in front of 2000 people was really cool.
