Leatrix Latency Fix will reduce your online gaming latency significantly by increasing the frequency of TCP acknowledgements sent to the game server. For the technically minded, this is a program which will modify TCPAckFrequency.

doesn't help tf2 because tf2 uses udp, not tcp

Was just about to post this. Only thing TF2 uses TCP for is RCON afaik.

TCP would be terrible for a fast FPS. Dropping packets would backlog you terribly, and instead of a constant stream you basically are pinging for more information from the server. UDP all the way.

Name some. TCP is generally not efficient for games, considering they need a constant stream of data that can afford packet losses here and there.

I'm sure MUD's do too. I don't think the OP knew any, which was my point. The chances he actually used the program for any TCP game was unlikely. Instead of countering insults (a very stupid one at that) when somebody makes a mocking post he should have done his own research at the very least or ask why was he getting mocked.
