has anyone else been having really bad problems with comcast in the past week? I know some of the people i've talked to said they've been having a strain due to increased summer traffic
also what other ISPs are there in the midwest?

It just made it slower

My internet has been cutting out randomly for anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes at a time, at least twice a day.

I live on the east coast and i have also been having issues recently with comcast such as the internet cutting out randomly from time to time. I have never had an issue with comcast for the last several years that they were my isp.

Can we start a fundraiser to get Google Fiber all over the US?
Oh, and Canada too I guess.
Also, I have AT&T and it's mostly fine. Slow speeds, but for the most part stable.

I've been having internet ping problems for the past few days. I live in Canada and have Rogers, but maybe it is related.

First week I got the new box installed it would disconnect and lag. Since that week however my internet is actually must faster than previously. It actually increased the by 2.5x the previous.

It might be due to increased summer traffic.
I wish I still had Comcast though--when I was living in Nashville it was always fast and I never had any problems. Now I'm in Kansas and Cox is awful...I'm paying for the non-shit tier and I still can't even watch streams a lot of the time. :(

yes. glad to know its not just me.

My major issue with Comcast is that starting last month I can no longer watch live streams on Twitch.tv in anything higher than 360p, and even that has stuttering sometimes. Running a tracert to the Twitch servers always ends with it timing out somewhere along the line. Previously, I could watch 720p+ with no issues.

Only Kansas City on the Kansas side. Olathe, Kansas (represent), a suburb to the south, gets it either this or next year, then Houston.
Right now I'm on low-tier Surewest. It's okay, and I can watch streams and play at low ping to central servers (like not even kidding I ping 5-9 to Dallas), but it's less than 10down/2up.

delpoI've been having internet ping problems for the past few days. I live in Canada and have Rogers, but maybe it is related.
I have rogers too and have been getting random ping spikes. I assumed it was increased internet usage since my parents just got a new computer.

I have the exact same issue. Maybe there is some sort of isp conspiracy going on.

I'm soon upgrading to Comcast regardless of what people say about it. My current ISP and Comcast are the only ISPs around and Frontier absolutely blows.
